قَالَ رَبِّ ٱلسِّجْنُ أَحَبُّ إِلَىَّ مِمَّا يَدْعُونَنِىٓ إِلَيْهِ ۖ وَإِلَّا تَصْرِفْ عَنِّى كَيْدَهُنَّ أَصْبُ إِلَيْهِنَّ وَأَكُن مِّنَ ٱلْجَٰهِلِينَ

English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ra
He said, ‘O my Lord, I would prefer prison to that to which they invite me; and unless Thou turn away their guile from me I shall incline towards them and be of the ignorant.’
English - Five Volume Translation
He said, ‘O my Lord, I would prefer prison to what they invite me; and unless Thou turn away their guile from me I shall incline towards them and be of the ignorant.’[1537]
English - Short Commentary Translation
Thereupon Joseph prayed: ‘O my Lord, prison is dearer to me than what they invite me to; and unless Thou turn away their guile from me I shall be inclined towards them and be of the ignorant.’
