قَالَ لَنْ أُرْسِلَهُۥ مَعَكُمْ حَتَّىٰ تُؤْتُونِ مَوْثِقًا مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ لَتَأْتُنَّنِى بِهِۦٓ إِلَّآ أَن يُحَاطَ بِكُمْ ۖ فَلَمَّآ ءَاتَوْهُ مَوْثِقَهُمْ قَالَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ مَا نَقُولُ وَكِيلٌ

He said, ‘I will not send him with you until you give me a solemn promise in the name of Allah that you will surely bring him to me, unless you are encompassed.’ And when they gave him their solemn promise, he said, ‘Allah watches over what we say.’
English - Five Volume Translation
He said, ‘I will not send him with you until you give me a solemn promise in the name of Allah that you will surely bring him to me, unless you are encompassed.’ And when they had given him their solemn promise, he said, ‘Allah watches over what we say.’[1568]
English - Short Commentary Translation
He said, ‘I will not send him with you until you give me a solemn promise in the name of Allah that you will surely bring him to me, unless it be that you are encompassed.’ And when they had given him their solemn promise, he said, ‘Allah watches over what we say.’
