قَالَ لَہٗ مُوۡسٰی ہَلۡ اَتَّبِعُکَ عَلٰۤی اَنۡ تُعَلِّمَنِ مِمَّا عُلِّمۡتَ رُشۡدًا

English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ^ra

Moses said to him, ‘May I follow thee on condition that thou teach me of the guidance which thou hast been taught?’

اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ

موسٰی نے اُس سے کہا کیا میں اس غرض سے تیری پیروی کر سکتا ہوں کہ مجھے بھی اس ہدایت میں سے کچھ سکھا دے جو تجھے سکھلائی گئی ہے؟

French

Moïse lui dit : « Puis-je te suivre à condition que tu m’apprennes un peu de ce que l’on t’a enseigné en matière de direction ? »

German

Moses sprach zu ihm: "Darf ich dir folgen, auf dass du mich belehrest über den rechten Weg, wie du ihn gelehrt worden bist?"

穆撒向他说: “为了你教我你所学的正道, 我可以追随你吗?”

Mosè gli disse: «Posso seguirti, a condizione che tu mi insegni qualcosa della guida in cui sei stato istruito?»

Spanish

Moisés le dijo: “¿Puedo seguirte a condición de que me enseñes la guía que te ha sido enseñada?”.

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

موسیٰ نے اس سے کہا (کہ) کیا میں اس (مقصد کے) لئے آپ کے ساتھ چل سکتا ہوں کہ جو علم آپ کو عطا ہوا ہے اس میں سے کچھ رشد (کی باتیں) مجھے بھی سکھائیں۔

English - Short Commentary Translation

Moses said to him, ‘May I follow thee on condition that thou teach me some of the guidance which thou hast been taught?’[1709]

Moses was denied the heights which the spiritual knowledge of the Holy Prophet had attained.

English - Five Volume Translation

Moses said to him, ‘May I follow thee on condition that thou teach me of the guidance which thou hast been taught?’[2106]

Commentary:

By instituting a comparison between the spiritual status of Moses and that of the Holy Prophet, the verse under comment shows that the former was distinctly inferior to the latter. Moses was denied the heights which the spiritual knowledge of the Prophet had attained. The difference between these two great Prophets has been depicted in these verses in the form of a dialogue between two companions on a journey.

اردو ترجمہ مودودی

موسیٰؑ نے اس سے کہا "کیا میں آپ کے ساتھ رہ سکتا ہوں تاکہ آپ مجھے بھی اُس دانش کی تعلیم دیں جو آپ کوسکھائی گئی ہے؟"

English - Sahih

Moses said to him, "May I follow you on [the condition] that you teach me from what you have been taught of sound judgement?"

اسے موسیٰ نے کہا کیا میں تیرے ساتھ رہوں اس شرط پر کہ تو مجھے سکھائے اس میں سے جو تجھے ہدایت کا طریقہ سکھایا گیا ہے

English - Talal Itani

Said to him Musa, "May, I follow you on that you teach me of what you have been taught (of) right guidance?"

Moses said to him: "May l follow you that you may teach me something of the wisdom which you have been taught?"

Moses said to him: "May I attend upon you that you may instruct me in the knowledge you have been taught of the right way?"
