فَلَمَّا تَرٰۤاَ الۡجَمۡعَانِ قَالَ اَصۡحٰبُ مُوۡسٰۤی اِنَّا لَمُدۡرَکُوۡنَ

English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ^ra

And when the two hosts came in sight of each other the companions of Moses said, ‘We are surely overtaken.’

پس جب دونوں گروہوں نے ایک دوسرے کو دیکھا تو موسیٰ کے ساتھیوں نے کہا یقیناً ہم تو پکڑے گئے۔

French

Et lorsque les deux troupes furent en vue l’une de l’autre, les compagnons de Moïse dirent : « Nous sommes sûrement rejoints. »

als die beiden Scharen einander ansichtig wurden, sprachen die Gefährten Mose: "Wir werden sicherlich eingeholt."

当两伙人相见时, 穆撒的同伴说: “我们一定要被 (敌人) 追上了。”

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

پھر جب دونوں گروہ ایک دوسرے کے سامنے ہوئے تو موسیٰ کے ساتھیوں نے کہا‘ ہم تو پکڑے گئے۔

English - Short Commentary Translation

And when the two hosts came in sight of each other the companions of Moses said, ‘We are surely caught.’[2117]

The companions of Moses seemed to possess very weak faith. This is also clear from 5:22, 23; 7:149; 20:87-92.

English - Five Volume Translation

And when the two hosts came in sight of each other the companions of Moses said, ‘We are surely overtaken.’[2744]

Commentary:

This verse shows that the companions of Moses were generally men of very weak faith. This is also clear from several other verses of the Quran. See 5:22-23; 7:149; 20:87-92, etc.

اردو ترجمہ مودودی

جب دونوں گروہوں کا آمنا سامنا ہوا تو موسیٰؑ کے ساتھی چیخ اٹھے کہ "ہم تو پکڑے گئے"

English - Sahih

And when the two companies saw one another, the companions of Moses said, "Indeed, we are to be overtaken!"

پھر جب دونوں جماعتوں نےایک دوسرے کو دیکھا تو موسیٰ کے ساتھیوں نے کہا ہم تو پکڑے گئے
