33:16

وَلَقَدۡ کَانُوۡا عٰہَدُوا اللّٰہَ مِنۡ قَبۡلُ لَا یُوَلُّوۡنَ الۡاَدۡبٰرَ ۚ وَکَانَ عَہۡدُ اللّٰہِ مَسۡـُٔوۡلًا

English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ^ra

And truly they had already covenanted with Allah that they would not turn their backs. And a covenant with Allah will have to be answered for.

اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ

حالانکہ اس سے پہلے وہ یقیناً اللہ سے عہد کر چکے تھے کہ وہ پیٹھیں نہیں دکھائیں گے۔ اور اللہ سے کیا ہوا عہد ضرور پوچھا جائے گا۔

French

Et en vérité ils avaient déjà fait un pacte avec Allāh, qu’ils ne tourneraient pas le dos. Et il sera demandé compte de tout pacte fait avec Allāh.

Und sie hatten doch in Wahrheit schon mit Allah den Bund geschlossen, dass sie nicht den Rücken (zur Flucht) wenden würden. Und über den Bund mit Allah muss Rechenschaft abgelegt werden.

实际上, 在这以前, 他们 (伪信的人) 曾向安拉作了诺言,[1025]他们将永不背离, (始终如一。) 对安拉的约言, 将要被拿问的。

此话指的是麦地那的犹太人曾与穆圣订立条约, 他们要站在他 (穆圣) 的一边同侵犯麦地那的任何敌人战斗。

Italian

E sì che avevano già stretto un patto con Allah, che non avrebbero voltato le spalle. E per il patto con Allah si è chiamati a renderne conto.

En verdad ya habían hecho un pacto con Al‑lah de que no volverían la espalda. Y de un pacto con a Al‑lah ciertamente habrá que rendir cuentas.

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

اور (حقیقت یہ ہے کہ) اس سے پہلے ان (منافقوں) نے اللہ سے عہد کیا تھا کہ وہ کبھی پیٹھ نہ پھیریں گے (اور ثابت قدم رہیں گے) اور اللہ سے باندھے جانے والے عہد کے متعلق ضرور سوال کیا جائے گا۔

English - Short Commentary Translation

And truly they had already covenanted with Allah[2340] that they Would not turn their backs. And a covenant with Allah will have to be answered for.

The words refer to the treaty which the Jews of Medina had made with the Holy Prophet that they would fight on his side against any enemy who invaded Medina.

English - Five Volume Translation

And truly they had already covenanted with Allah that they would not turn their backs. And a covenant with Allah will have to be answered for.[3086]

Commentary:

The words, "they had already covenanted with Allah," refer to the treaty that the Jews of Medina had made with the Holy Prophet that they would fight on his side against any enemy who invaded Medina. The verse holds out a solemn warning to these breakers of their plighted word that they will have to account for their treachery. The exact words of the above-mentioned treaty were:

و ان بینھم النصر علی من دھم یثرب

i.e. "and they take upon themselves to help the Holy Prophet against anyone who should attack Yathrib" (Khatamun-Nabiyyin, Part II, by Mirza Bashir Ahmad).

ان لوگوں نے اس سے پہلے اللہ سے عہد کیا تھا کہ یہ پیٹھ نہ پھیریں گے، اور اللہ سے کیے ہوئے عہد کی باز پرس تو ہونی ہی تھی

English - Sahih

And they had already promised Allah before not to turn their backs and flee. And ever is the promise to Allah [that about which one will be] questioned.

اردو ترجمہ احمد علی

حالانکہ اس سے پہلے الله سے عہد کر چکے تھے کہ پیٹھ نہ پھیریں گے اور الله سے عہد کرنے کی باز پرس ہوگی

And certainly they had promised Allah before, not they would turn their backs. And is (the) promise (to) Allah to be questioned.

此话指的是麦地那的犹太人曾与穆圣订立条约, 他们要站在他 (穆圣) 的一边同侵犯麦地那的任何敌人战斗。
