قَالُوا۟ بَل لَّمْ تَكُونُوا۟ مُؤْمِنِينَ

English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ^ra

They will answer, ‘Nay, you yourselves were not believers.

اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ

وہ (جواباً) کہیں گے کہ تم بھی تو کسی صورت ایمان لانے والے نہیں تھے۔

French

Ils répondront : « Non mais vous n’étiez vous-mêmes pas croyants.

Jene werden antworten: "Nein, ihr wart selbst nicht Gläubige.

Chinese

他们 (所杜撰的与安拉同等的崇拜对象) 将回答: “[b]不然, 你们自己原不是信仰的人。

Gli altri risponderanno: «No, siete stati voi a non credere,

Responderán: “No, vosotros mismos no fuisteis creyentes”.

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

(ان کے مزعومہ معبود جواب میں) کہیں گے یوں نہیں حقیقت یہ ہے کہ تم میں خود ایمان (کا مادہ) نہ تھا۔

English - Short Commentary Translation

The others will answer, [b]‘Nay, you yourselves were not believers,

34:33.

Their associate-gods will answer, [a]‘Nay, you yourselves were not believers.[3293]

Commentary:

In this verse the pronoun 'they' in the sentence "they will answer" refers to the leaders of disbelief.

وہ جواب دیں گے، "نہیں بلکہ تم خود ایمان لانے والے نہ تھے
