رُدُّوهَا عَلَىَّ ۖ فَطَفِقَ مَسْحًۢا بِٱلسُّوقِ وَٱلْأَعْنَاقِ

English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ^ra

‘Bring them back to me.’ Then he began to pass his hand over their legs and their necks.

اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ

(اس نے کہا) انہیں دوبارہ میرے سامنے لاؤ۔ پس وہ (ان کی) پنڈلیوں اور گردنوں پر (پیار سے) ہاتھ پھیرنے لگا۔

French

Il dit : « Ramenez-les moi. » Puis il se mit à caresser leurs jambes et leur cou.

Bringt sie zu mir zurück. Dann begann er mit der Hand über (ihre) Beine und (ihre) Hälse zu fahren.

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

(اس نے کہا) ان کو میری طرف واپس لاؤ (جب وہ آئے) تو وہ ان کی پنڈلیوں اور گردنوں پر تھپکنے لگا۔[2]

قرآن کریم میں مَسَحَ کا لفظ ہے جس کے معنے تھپکنے اور کاٹ ڈالنے دونوں کے ہوتے ہیں۔ مفسرین چونکہ ایک غلطی کر چکے تھے انہوں نے کاٹ ڈالنے کے معنے کو تھپکنے کے معنے پر ترجیح دی اور آیت کے یہ معنے کر دئیے کہ گھوڑے واپس بلا کر اس غصہ میں کہ ان کے دیکھنے میں نماز جاتی رہی‘ ان کو کاٹ ڈالا۔ حالانکہ یہ فعل ایک مجنون کا تو ہو سکتا ہے خدا کے نبی کا نہیں ہو سکتا۔ حقیقتاً اس جگہ یہی ذکر ہے کہ حضرت سلیمانؑ نے گھوڑے واپس بلائے اور چونکہ ان کو جہاد کے لئے پالا تھا ان کے ُپٹھوں پر ہاتھ مار کر تھپکنے لگے اور پیار کرنے لگے کہ میں نے ایسے اعلیٰ درجہ کے گھوڑے جہاد کے لئے تیار کئے ہیں۔

English - Short Commentary Translation

He said, ‘Bring them back to me.’ Then he started stroking their legs and their necks.[2531]

It seems that Solomon was seeing a horse parade and in order to show his admiration for his horses he stroked their necks and legs.

English - Five Volume Translation

‘Bring them back to me.’ Then he began to stroke their legs and their necks.[3404]

Commentary:

The verse shows that Solomon was seeing a horse parade and in order to show his admiration for his horses he stroked their necks and legs.

تو (اس نے حکم دیا کہ) انہیں میرے پاس واپس لاؤ، پھر لگا ان کی پنڈلیوں اور گردنوں پر ہاتھ پھیرنے

[He said], "Return them to me," and set about striking [their] legs and necks.
