40:75
مِنۡ دُوۡنِ اللّٰہِ ۖ قَالُوۡا ضَلُّوۡا عَنَّا بَل لَّمۡ نَکُنۡ نَّدۡعُوۡا مِنۡ قَبۡلُ شَیۡـًٔا ۚ کَذٰلِکَ یُضِلُّ اللّٰہُ الۡکٰفِرِیۡنَ
English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ra
‘Beside Allah?’ They will say, ‘They have vanished away from us. Nay, we never prayed to anything before.’ Thus will Allah confound the disbelievers.
اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ
اللہ کے سوا ؟ وہ کہیں گے ہم سے وہ گم ہوگئے ہیں بلکہ ہم تو اس سے پہلے کسی چیز کو بھی نہیں پکارتے تھے۔ اسی طرح اللہ کافروں کو گمراہ ٹھہراتا ہے۔
French
En dehors d’Allāh ? » Ils diront : « Ils ont disparu de chez nous. Au contraire, nous n’invoquions rien en dehors d’Allāh auparavant. » C’est ainsi qu’Allāh jugera égarés les mécréants.

statt Allah?" Sie werden sprechen: "Sie sind von uns gewichen. Nein, wir riefen zuvor nichts an." Also erklärt Allah die Ungläubigen zu Irrenden:

除开安拉?” 他们将说: [b]“他们已从我们这里消失了。不, 从前, 我们没有祈祷 (安拉外) 任何存在者。”安拉就这样使不信的人迷误。
41:49.
Italian
oltre ad Allah?» Essi risponderanno: «Sono spariti, lontano da noi. No, noi prima non pregammo mai alcunché.» Così Allah confonderà i miscredenti.
Spanish
“Aparte de Al-lah?”. Ellos responderán: “Se nos han desvanecido. No, nunca rogamos a nada antes”. Así confundirá Al-lah a los incrédulos.
اردو تفسیرِ صغیر
اللہ کے سوا (خدائی کا) شریک بناتے تھے‘ وہ کہیں گے اس وقت وہ ہم سے کھوئے گئے ہیں (پھر کہیں گے) یوں نہیں حقیقت یہ ہے کہ ہم اس سے پہلے کسی چیز کو خدا کا شریک بناتے ہی نہیں تھے‘ اسی طرح اللہ کافروں کو گمراہ کرتا ہے۔
English - Short Commentary Translation

وہ جواب دیں گے "کھوئے گئے وہ ہم سے، بلکہ ہم اس سے پہلے کسی چیز کو نہ پکارتے تھے" اِس طرح اللہ کافروں کا گمراہ ہونا متحقق کر دے گا
English - Sahih
Other than Allah?" They will say, "They have departed from us; rather, we did not used to invoke previously anything." Thus does Allah put astray the disbelievers.

English - Arberry
They shall say, 'They have gone astray from us; nay, but it was nothing at all that we called upon aforetime.' Even so God leads astray the unbelievers.

associated with Allah in His Divinity?” They will say: “We have lost them; rather, we never used to call upon anyone before.” Thus will Allah cause them to stumble in error.

Apart from God?" They will answer: "They have left us in the lurch and fled. In fact it was nothing that we prayed to before." That is how God sends the unbelievers astray.

"In derogation of Allah?" They will reply: "They have left us in the lurch: Nay, we invoked not, of old, anything (that had real existence)." Thus does Allah leave the Unbelievers to stray.
