42:4

كَذَٰلِكَ يُوحِىٓ إِلَيْكَ وَإِلَى ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِكَ ٱللَّهُ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلْحَكِيمُ

English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ^ra

Thus has Allah, the Mighty, the Wise, been revealing to thee and to those that preceded thee.

اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ

اسی طرح کامل غلبہ والا (اور) حکمت والا اللہ تیری طرف وحی کرتا ہے اور اُن کی طرف بھی کرتا رہا ہے جو تجھ سے پہلے تھے۔

French

Et c’est ainsi qu’Allāh, le Puissant, le Sage, t’envoie des révélations comme Il a fait à ceux qui t’ont précédé.

German

Also hat Allah, der Allmächtige, der Allweise, dir und denen, die vor dir waren, offenbart.

他这样地启示你, (已启示了)你之前的那些人, 安拉是强有力的, 明哲的。

Italian

Così Allah, il Potente, il Sapiente, rivela a te e ha rivelato a quelli che ti hanno preceduto.

Spanish

De este modo, Al-lah el Poderoso, el Sabio, se revela a ti y Se reveló a quienes te precedieron.

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

اسی طرح اللہ تجھ پر بھی وحی کرتا ہے اور اُن پر بھی (وحی کر چکا ہے) جو (لوگ) تجھ سے پہلے گذر چکے ہیں وہ غالب بھی ہے (اور) حکمت والا بھی ہے۔

English - Short Commentary Translation

Thus does Allah, the Mighty, the Wise, send revelation to thee as He revealed to those before thee.

English - Five Volume Translation

Thus does Allah, the Mighty, the Wise, reveal to thee and He revealed to those before thee.[3604]

Commentary:

The Surah opens with the important subject of revelation of the Quran as implied in the Divine attributes Ha Mim, placed at its beginning.

اردو ترجمہ مودودی

اِسی طرح اللہ غالب و حکیم تمہاری طرف اور تم سے پہلے گزرے ہوئے (رسولوں) کی طرف وحی کرتا رہا ہے

English - Sahih

Thus has He revealed to you, [O Muhammad], and to those before you - Allah, the Exalted in Might, the Wise.

اسی طرح سے الله زبردست حکمت والا آپ کی طرف وحی کرتا ہے اور ان کی طرف بھی (کرتا تھا) جو آپ سے پہلے تھے

Thus reveals to you, and to those before you - Allah the All-Mighty, the All-Wise.
