ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمُ ٱتَّبَعُوا۟ مَآ أَسْخَطَ ٱللَّهَ وَكَرِهُوا۟ رِضْوَٰنَهُۥ فَأَحْبَطَ أَعْمَٰلَهُمْ

English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ra
This is because they followed that which displeased Allah, and hated that which pleased Him. So He rendered their works vain.
