5:62

وَإِذَا جَآءُوكُمْ قَالُوٓا۟ ءَامَنَّا وَقَد دَّخَلُوا۟ بِٱلْكُفْرِ وَهُمْ قَدْ خَرَجُوا۟ بِهِۦ ۚ وَٱللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَكْتُمُونَ

English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ^ra

And when they come to you, they say, ‘We believe,’ while they enter with unbelief and go out therewith; and Allah knows best what they conceal.

اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ

اور جب وہ تمہارے پاس آتے ہیں تو کہتے ہیں کہ ہم ایمان لے آئے حالانکہ وہ کفر کے ساتھ ہی (تمہارے اندر) داخل ہوئے تھے اور اس کے ساتھ ہی باہر نکل گئے۔ اور اللہ اس کو سب سے زیادہ جانتا ہے جو وہ چھپاتے ہیں۔

French

Et quand ils viennent chez vous, ils disent : « Nous croyons, » tandis qu’ils entrent chez vous avec l’incroyance et en ressortent avec ; et Allāh sait mieux que quiconque ce qu’ils dissimulent.

German

Und wenn sie zu euch kommen, sagen sie: "Wir glauben", während sie doch mit Unglauben eintreten und mit ihm fortgehen; und Allah weiß am besten, was sie verhehlen.

当他们来到你们那里, 他们说: “我们信仰了。” 其实, 他们进入时, 并不信; 出去时, 还是不信。凡是他们所隐藏的, 安拉都是最知道的。

Italian

E quando vengono da te, dicono: «Noi crediamo», ma entrano pieni di miscredenza e ne escono con la stessa; e Allah sa bene cosa nascondono.

Spanish

Y cuando acuden a ti, dicen: “creemos”, aunque entraron con incredulidad y salieron con ella; y Al-lah es quien mejor conoce lo que ocultan.

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

اور جب وہ تمہارے پاس آتے ہیں تو کہتے ہیں کہ ہم ایمان لے آئے ہیں‘ حالانکہ وہ کفر (ہی کے عقیدہ) کے ساتھ داخل ہوئے تھے اور (پھر) وہ اس (عقیدہ) کے ساتھ (ہی) نکل گئے تھے اور جو کچھ وہ چھپاتے ہیں اسے اللہ (سب سے) بڑھ کر جانتا ہے۔

English - Short Commentary Translation

And when they come to you, they say, ‘We believe,’[765] while they enter with disbelief and go out therewith; and Allah best knows what they hide.

By hypocritically uttering the words, we believe, the Jews merely copied the believers’ mode of expressing their belief without understanding and realizing their real import; thus they displayed (as hinted in the foregoing verse) the mimicking characteristic of the ape. See also the next verse.

English - Five Volume Translation

And when they come to you, they say, ‘We believe,’ while they enter with unbelief and go out therewith; and Allah best knows what they conceal.[692]

Commentary:

By hypocritically uttering the words, We believe, the Jews merely copied the believers’ mode of expressing their belief without understanding and realizing the real import of these words; and thus they displayed (as hinted in the foregoing verse) the mimicking characteristic of the ape. اردو ترجمہ مودودی

جب یہ تم لوگوں کے پاس آتے ہیں تو کہتے ہیں کہ ہم ایمان لائے، حالانکہ کفر لیے ہوئے آئے تھے اور کفر ہی لیے ہوئے واپس گئے اور اللہ خوب جانتا ہے جو کچھ یہ دلوں میں چھپائے ہوئے ہیں

English - Sahih

And when they come to you, they say, "We believe." But they have entered with disbelief [in their hearts], and they have certainly left with it. And Allah is most knowing of what they were concealing.

اور جب تمہارے پاس آتے ہیں تو کہتے ہیں کہ ہم ایمان لائے حالانکہ وہ کافر ہی آئے تھے اور کافر ہی گئے اور الله خوب جانتا ہے جو کچھ وہ چھپاتے تھے

English - Talal Itani

And when they come to you they say, "We believe." But certainly they entered with disbelief and they certainly went out with it. And Allah knows best [of] what they were hiding.

When they come to you, they say, 'We believe'; but they have entered in unbelief, and so they have departed in it; God knows very well what they were hiding.

Whenever they come to you they say: 'We believe,' whereas, in fact, they come disbelieving, and go away disbelieving, and Allah knows all that they hide.

When they come to you they say: "We believe;" but unbelieving they came and unbelieving go; and God is aware of what they conceal in their hearts.

When they come to thee, they say: "We believe": but in fact they enter with a mind against Faith, and they go out with the same but Allah knoweth fully all that they hide.
