بَصُرَ , [aor.
يَبْصُرُ ,] (Sb, M, K,) and بَصِرَ, [aor.
يَبْصَرُ ,]
(Lh, K, ) inf. n. بَصَرٌ and بَصَارَةٌ and بِصَارَةٌ, (M, K,)
[He saw; i. e.] he became seeing; syn.صَارَ مُبْصِرًا;
(Sb, M, K;) with بِ prefixed to the noun following. (K.) But see 4, in four places. بَصُرَ is
seldom used to signify the sense of sight unless to
this meaning is conjoined that of mental perception. (B.) ―
2-b2- [Hence,] بَصُرَ, [and بَصِرَ.] inf. n.
بَصَارَةٌ [and بَصَرٌ], He was, or became, endowed
with mental perception; or belief, or firm belief;
or knowledge, understanding, intelligence, or skill.
(S, * M, TA.) And بَصُرَبِهِ, (S Msb, B,) and
بَصِرَبِهِ, and sometimes بَصُرَهُ and بَصِرَهُ, but more
chastely with بِ, inf. n. [بَصَارَةٌ and] بَصَرٌ; (Msb;)
and * ابصرهُ; (B;) He perceived it mentally;
(B;) he knew it [or understood it]. (S, Msb.)
بَصُرْتُ بِمَا لَمْ يَبْصُرُوا بِهِ, in the Quran [xx. 96],
means I knew that which they knew not. (S.) ＝

بَصَرَ الأَدِيمَيْنِ, aor.
يَبْصُرُ , (T, K,) inf. n. بَصْرٌ, (S, M,
K,) He put the two hides together, and sewed
them, like as the two edges of a garment, or piece
of cloth, are sewed, one being put upon the other;
which [mode of sewing] is contrary to, or different
from, that in which a garment, or piece of cloth,
is sewed before it is sewed the second time: (S:)
or he put together the two edges of the two hides,
when they were being sewed, (M, K,) like as a
garment, or piece of cloth, is sewed. (M.)

English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ra
Say, ‘This is my way: I call unto Allah on sure knowledge, I and those who follow me. And Holy is Allah; and I am not of those who associate gods with God.’
اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ
تُو کہہ دے کہ یہ میرا راستہ ہے۔ میں اللہ کی طرف بلاتا ہوں۔ میں بصیرت پر ہوں اور وہ بھی جس نے میری پیروی کی۔ اور پاک ہے اللہ اور میں مشرکوں میں سے نہیں۔
French
Dis : « Ceci est ma voie : J’appelle vers Allāh. Nous sommes établis sur la connaissance certaine, moi et ceux qui me suivent. Et Saint est Allāh ; et je ne suis pas du nombre des associateurs. »

Di': «Questa è la mia via. Io invoco Allah. A me è stata concessa una conoscenza sicura e così anche a quelli che mi seguono. Santo è Allah, e io non sono di coloro che associano ad Allah altri dei.
Spanish
Diles: “Éste es mi camino: Convoco hacia Al-lah. Ocupo una posición de conocimiento manifiesto como también lo hacen quienes me siguen. Pues Al-lah es Santo; y no soy de quienes asocian otros dioses a Dios”.
اردو تفسیرِ صغیر
تو کہہ (کہ) یہ میرا طریق[2] ہے میں (تو) اللہ کی طرف بلاتا ہوں اور جنہوں نے (سچے طور پر) میری پیروی اختیار کی ہے (میں اور وہ سب) بصیرت[3] پر قائم ہیں اور اللہ (سب قسم کے نقائص سے) پاک ہے اور میں مشرکوں میں سے نہیں ہوں۔
یعنی میرا طریق اللہ تعالیٰ کی طرف بلانا ہے نہ کہ جبر کرنا۔
یعنی ہر بات کو دلیل سے مانتے ہیں خیالی ڈھکونسلوں سے ایمان نہیں لاتے۔

English - Five Volume Translation
Say, [a]‘This is my way: I call unto Allah on sure knowledge, I and those who follow me. And Holy is Allah; and I am not of those who associate gods with God.’[1608]
6:58.
Commentary:
In this verse the Holy Prophet is represented as saying that his wont is to benefit by the signs of God, to believe in Him alone, and to eschew all forms of idolatry, because he has received clear proof and sure knowledge from God. This shows that a blind and unthinking faith which is not based on sound arguments carries no weight. A true Muslim, like his Master, the Holy Prophet, should possess clear and irrefutable proofs and evidence to support and substantiate all his beliefs and doctrines. Mere hearsay or traditional belief is nothing.
اردو ترجمہ مودودی
تم ان سے صاف کہہ دو کہ "میرا راستہ تو یہ ہے، میں اللہ کی طرف بلاتا ہوں، میں خود بھی پوری روشنی میں اپنا راستہ دیکھ رہا ہوں اور میرے ساتھی بھی، اور اللہ پاک ہے اور شرک کرنے والوں سے میرا کوئی واسطہ نہیں"

Say, "This is my way; I invite to Allah with insight, I and those who follow me. And exalted is Allah; and I am not of those who associate others with Him."

Commentary:
