بَكَرَ and
غَدَا both [properly] relate to the
beginning of the day: (AZ, Msb:) the former
of these verbs, (T, S, A,) aor.
يَبْكُرُ , inf. n. بُكُورٌ;
(T, S;) and ↓ بكّر, (T, S, A,) inf. n. تَبْكِيرٌ; (T,
S;) and ↓ ابكر, and ↓ ابتكر, (S, A,) and ↓ باكر;
(S;) all signify the same; (S;) He (a traveller,
A) went forth early in the morning, in the first
part of the day; or between the time of the prayer
of daybreak and sunrise; syn. خَرَجَ فِى البُكْرَةِ:
(T, A:) or ↓ ابكر, inf. n. إِبْكَارٌ, signifies he entered
upon that time: (T:) one should not say بَكُرَ
nor بَكِرَ in the sense of بكّر [&c.]. (S.) ―

say also, بَكَرَ إِلَيْهِ, and عَلَيْهِ, and فِيهِ, inf. n. as
above; and ↓ بكّر, and ↓ ابكر, and ↓ ابتكر; and
↓ باكرهُ; meaning أَتَاهُ بُكْرَةٌ [i. e. He came to him,
or it, early in the morning, in the first part of
the day; or between the time of the prayer of
daybreak and sunrise: and he did it at that
time: or بَكَرَ &c. with فِيهِ following may be rendered he occupied himself at that time in doing
it]. (K.) ―
2-b3- And [hence,] بَكَرَ إِلَيْهِ, [and عَلَيْهِ,]
aor. and inf. n. as above; (Msb;) and بَكِرَ اليه,
aor.
يَبْكَرُ ; (ISd, K; * [but see a remark respecting
this verb above;]) and بكر ↓ اليه, (S, Msb, TA,)
and عليه; (TA;) and ابكر ↓ اليه, (S, K,) and
عليه; [and ↓ ابكرهُ;] and ↓ باكرهُ; (TA;) signify
also (assumed tropical:) He hastened [or betook himself early] to it,
or to do it, at any time, (S, Msb, K, TA,) morning or evening. (TA.) You say, بَكَرْتُ عَلَى الحَاجَةِ
(assumed tropical:) [I hastened to do, or accomplish, or attain, the
thing needed], inf. n. as above: and in like manner,
أَبْكَرْتُ ↓ عَلَى الوِرْدِ (assumed tropical:) [I hastened to come to water]:
(AZ, S:) and ابكر ↓ الوِرْدَ, (TA,) and الغَدَآءَ, (AZ,
S, TA,) (assumed tropical:) He hastened to come to water, and to
take the morning-meal. (TA.) Lebeed says,
بَاكَرْتُ جَاجَتَهَا الدَّجَاجَ بِسُحْرَةٍ
meaning (assumed tropical:) I hastened to be before the crowing of
the cock, at the close of night, in obtaining what
was wanted [of it, namely, of wine,] by me:
(TA:) حاجتها being for حَاجَتِى إِلَيْهَا, i. e., إِلَى
الخَمْرِ. (EM p. 170: but the first word is there
written بَادَرْتُ.) [See also 2, below.] ―
2-b4- [It is
also said that] بكر [app. بَكِرَ,] inf. n. بكر, [app.
بَكَرٌ,] signifies (assumed tropical:) He possessed the quality of applying himself early, or of hastening; expl. by
كَانَ صَاحِبَ بُكُورٍ. (Msb.) [But see بَكُرٌ.]

قَالُوا ادۡعُ لَنَا رَبَّکَ یُبَیِّنۡ لَّنَا مَا ہِیَ ۚ قَالَ اِنَّہٗ یَقُوۡلُ اِنَّہَا بَقَرَۃٌ لَّا فَارِضٌ وَّلَا بِکۡرٌ عَوَانٌۢ بَیۡنَ ذٰلِکَ ۖ فَافۡعَلُوۡا مَا تُؤۡمَرُوۡنَ
English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ra
They said: ‘Pray for us to thy Lord that He make plain to us what she is.’ He answered: ‘God says, it is a cow, neither old nor young, fullgrown, between the two; now do what you are commanded.’
اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ
انہوں نے کہا اپنے ربّ سے ہماری خاطر دعا کر کہ وہ ہمارے لئے واضح کردے کہ وہ کیا ہے؟ اس نے کہا یقیناً وہ کہتا ہے کہ وہ ایک گائے ہے، نہ بہت بوڑھی اور نہ بہت کم عمر، اس کے بین بین درمیانی عمر کی ہے۔ پس وہی کرو جو تمہیں حکم دیا جاتا ہے۔

انہوں نے کہا‘ ہماری خاطر اپنے رب سے دعا کیجیے ٔ کہ وہ ہمیں کھول کر بتائے کہ وہ (گائے) کیسی ہے؟ اس نے (یعنی موسیٰ نے) کہا کہ وہ فرماتا ہے وہ ایسی گائے ہے کہ نہ تو بڑھیا ہے اور نہ بچھیا‘ بلکہ اس کے درمیان[1] پوری جوان ہے اس لئے جو حکم تمہیں دیا جاتا ہے اسے بجا لاؤ۔
یعنی بیان شدہ حد بندی۔
English - Short Commentary Translation
They said, ‘Pray for us to thy Lord that He make plain to us what she is.’ He answered, ‘God says, it is a cow, neither old nor young, full-grown, between the two; now do what you are commanded.’

They said, ‘Pray for us to thy Lord that He make plain to us what she is.’ He answered, ‘God says, it is a cow, neither old nor young, full-grown, between the two; now do what you are commanded.’[75]
Important Words:
فارض (old) is derived from فرض. They say فرضت البقرة meaning, the cow became old (Lane).
اعوان (full-grown) is derived from عان. They say عانت المراة i.e. the woman attained middle age. So عوان is said of one that has attained middle age. الحرب العوان means, the hottest and bloodiest part of a battle (Aqrab).

بولے اچھا، اپنے رب سے درخواست کرو کہ وہ ہمیں گائے کی کچھ تفصیل بتائے موسیٰؑ نے کہا، اللہ کا ارشاد ہے کہ وہ ایسی گائے ہونی چاہیے جو نہ بوڑھی ہو نہ بچھیا، بلکہ اوسط عمر کی ہو لہٰذا جو حکم دیا جاتا ہے اس کی تعمیل کرو

They said, "Call upon your Lord to make clear to us what it is." [Moses] said, "[Allah] says, 'It is a cow which is neither old nor virgin, but median between that,' so do what you are commanded."

Then they said, "Please make a request to your Lord to give us some details of the cow." Moses answered, "Allah says that the cow should neither be old nor immature but of middle age. Do, therefore, as you are bidden."

فارض (old) is derived from فرض. They say فرضت البقرة meaning, the cow became old (Lane).
