قَالَ لَا یَاۡتِیۡکُمَا طَعَامٌ تُرۡزَقَانِہٖۤ اِلَّا نَبَّاۡتُکُمَا بِتَاۡوِیۡلِہٖ قَبۡلَ اَنۡ یَّاۡتِیَکُمَا ۚ ذٰلِکُمَا مِمَّا عَلَّمَنِیۡ رَبِّیۡۤ ۚ اِنِّیۡ تَرَکۡتُ مِلَّۃَ قَوۡمٍ لَّا یُؤۡمِنُوۡنَ بِاللّٰہِ وَہُمۡ بِالۡاٰخِرَۃِ ہُمۡ کٰفِرُوۡنَ
English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ra
He replied, ‘The food which you are given shall not come to you but I shall inform you of the interpretation thereof before it comes to you. This is on account of what my Lord has taught me. I have renounced the religion of the people who do not believe in Allah and who are disbelievers in the Hereafter.
اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ
اس نے کہا کہ تم دونوں تک وہ کھانا نہیں آئے گا جو تمہیں دیا جاتا ہے مگر میں تمہارے پاس اُس کے آنے سے پہلے ہی اِن (خوابوں) کی تعبیر سے تم دونوں کو مطلع کر چکا ہوں گا۔ یہ (تعبیر) اس (علم) میں سے ہے جو میرے ربّ نے مجھے سکھایا۔ یقیناً میں اس قوم کے مسلک کو چھوڑ بیٹھا ہوں جو اللہ پر ایمان نہیں لاتے تھے اور وہ آخرت کا انکار کرتے تھے۔
French
Il répondit : « La nourriture ne vous sera pas servie, sans que je ne vous aie fait savoir, avant qu’elle n’arrive, cette interprétation. C’est à cause de ce que m’a enseigné mon Seigneur. En vérité, j’ai renoncé à la religion des gens qui ne croient pas en Allāh, et qui ne croient pas à l’au-delà.

Er antwortete: "Ich werde euch die Deutung hiervon verkünden, noch ehe das Essen, mit dem ihr versorgt werdet, zu euch kommt, noch bevor es zu euch kommt. Dies auf Grund dessen, was mich mein Herr gelehrt hat. Verlassen habe ich die Religion jener Leute, die nicht an Allah glauben und Leugner des Jenseits sind.

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر
اس نے کہا اس وقت کا کھانا ابھی نہیں آئے گا کہ میں تمہیں اس کے آنے سے پہلے اس (خواب) کی حقیقت بتادوں گا۔ یہ (تعبیر رؤیا کی اہلیت مجھ میں) اس وجہ سے (پائی جاتی) ہے کہ میرے رب نے مجھے علم بخشا ہے۔ میں نے ان لوگوں کے دین کو جو اللہ پر ایمان نہیںرکھتے اور وہ آخرت کے (بھی) منکر ہیں چھوڑ دیا ہوا ہے۔

He replied, ‘The food which you are given shall not come to you but I shall inform you of the interpretation thereof before it comes to you. This is on account of what my Lord has taught me. I have renounced the religion of the people who do not believe in Allah and who are disbelievers in the Hereafter;

He replied, ‘The food which you are given shall not come to you but I shall inform you of the interpretation thereof before it comes to you. This is on account of what my Lord has taught me. I have renounced the religion of the people who do not believe in Allah and who are disbelievers in the Hereafter.[1541]
Commentary:
This verse provides a very useful lesson for preachers, for it shows that a preacher should preach his message in a manner as not to tire or bore his hearers. Joseph assured the young men that he would not detain them long and would finish his discourse before their meal-time. The verse also shows how solicitous Joseph was in preaching the truth. Like Joseph, the Holy Prophet was also ever on the lookout for an opportunity to preach to the people and sometimes he had had recourse to extraordinary devices such as inviting them to a feast.

یوسفؑ نے کہا: "یہاں جو کھانا تمہیں ملا کرتا ہے اس کے آنے سے پہلے میں تمہیں اِن خوابوں کی تعبیر بتا دوں گا یہ علم اُن علوم میں سے ہے جو میرے رب نے مجھے عطا کیے ہیں واقعہ یہ ہے کہ میں نے اُن لوگوں کا طریقہ چھوڑ کر جو اللہ پر ایمان نہیں لاتے اور آخرت کا انکار کرتے ہیں

He said, "You will not receive food that is provided to you except that I will inform you of its interpretation before it comes to you. That is from what my Lord has taught me. Indeed, I have left the religion of a people who do not believe in Allah, and they, in the Hereafter, are disbelievers.

کہا جو کھانا تمہیں دیا جاتا ہے وہ ابھی آنے نہ پائے گا کہ اس سے پہلے میں تمہیں اس کی تعبیر بتلا دوں گا یہ ان چیزو ں سے ہے جو میرے رب نے مجھے سکھائی ہیں بے شک میں نے اس قوم کا مذہب ترک کر دیا ہے جو الله پرایمان نہیں لاتی اور وہ آخرت کے بھی منکر ہیں

He said, "Not (will) come to both of you food you are provided with but I will inform both of you of its interpretation, before [that] [it] comes to both of you. That (is) of what has taught me my Lord. Indeed, I [I] abandon (the) religion (of) a people, not they believe in Allah, and they in the Hereafter [they] (are) disbelievers.

Commentary:
