مَّا یَفۡتَحِ اللّٰہُ لِلنَّاسِ مِنۡ رَّحۡمَۃٍ فَلَا مُمۡسِکَ لَہَا ۖ وَمَا یُمۡسِکۡ فَلَا مُرۡسِلَ لَہٗ مِنۡۢ بَعۡدِہٖ ۚ وَہُوَ الۡعَزِیۡزُ الۡحَکِیۡمُ

English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ^ra

Whatever of mercy Allah grants to men — there is none to withhold it; and whatever He withholds, there is none who can release it after that; and He is the Mighty, the Wise.

اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ

اللہ انسانوں کے لئے جو رحمت جاری کر دے اُسے کوئی روکنے والا نہیں۔ اور جو چیز وہ روک دے اُسے اس کے (روکنے) کے بعد کوئی جاری کرنے والا نہیں اور وہ کامل غلبہ والا (اور) حکمت والا ہے۔

French

Quelque miséricorde qu’Allāh accorde aux hommes – il n’est personne qui puisse la retenir ; et ce qu'Il retient des hommes, il n’est personne qui puisse le leur renvoyer par la suite ; et Il est le Puissant, le Sage.

German

Was Allah den Menschen an Barmherzigkeit gewährt, das kann keiner zurückhalten; und was Er zurückhält, das kann nach Ihm keiner entsenden; und Er ist der Allmächtige, der Allweise.

39:39.

Italian

Qualunque parte di misericordia Allah conceda all'umanità, nessuno la può trattenere; e qualunque parte Egli trattenga, non c'è nessuno che possa concederla. Ed Egli è il Potente, il Saggio.

Sea cual fuere lo que Al‑lah concede a los hombres de Su misericordia, nadie puede impedirlo; y sea cual fuere lo que Él escatima, nadie puede prodigarlo después; pues Él es Poderoso, el Sabio.

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

جو رحمت کا سامان اللہ لوگوں کے لئے کھولے اسے کوئی بند کرنے والا نہیں‘ اور جس رحمت کے سامان کو وہ بند کرے اس کو خدا کے فعل کے بعد کوئی جاری کرنے والا نہیں۔ اور وہ بڑا غالب (اور) بڑی حکمت والا ہے۔

English - Short Commentary Translation

[c]Whatever sources of mercy Allah lays open for mankind[2408]—there is none to withhold them; and whatever of such sources He withholds, there is none who can release them after that; and He is the Mighty, the Wise.

39:39.

After having mentioned in the previous verse that God has created the heavens and the earth and that He has made full provision for man’s physical and spiritual needs the verse under comment signifies that God has now decreed to bestow His mercy upon mankind in the form of the revelation of the Qur’an.

English - Five Volume Translation

[a]Whatever of mercy Allah grants to men—there is none to withhold it; and whatever He withholds, there is none who can release it after that; and He is the Mighty, the Wise.[3178]

11:108; 39:39.

Commentary:

After having mentioned in the previous verse that God has created the heavens, and the earth and that He has made full provision for man’s physical and spiritual needs and has entrusted the control and management of both the physical and spiritual worlds to the care of the angels, the verse under comment proceeds to say that God has now decreed to bestow His mercy upon mankind in the form of the revelation of the Quran, at the same time warning the would be enemies of truth that they will not be allowed to thwart God’s plan and purpose as "He is the Mighty, the Wise!"

اللہ جس رحمت کا دروازہ بھی لوگوں کے لیے کھول دے اسے کوئی روکنے والا نہیں اور جسے وہ بند کر دے اسے اللہ کے بعد پھر کوئی دوسرا کھولنے والا نہیں وہ زبردست اور حکیم ہے

English - Sahih

Whatever Allah grants to people of mercy - none can withhold it; and whatever He withholds - none can release it thereafter. And He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise.

الله بندوں کے لیے جو رحمت کھولتا ہے اسے کوئی بند نہیں کر سکتا اور جسے وہ بند کر دے تو اس کے بعد کوئی کھولنے والا نہیں اور وہ زبردست حکمت والا ہے

What Allah grants to mankind of Mercy, then none (can) withhold it. And what He withholds, then none (can) release it thereafter. And He (is) the All-Mighty, the All-Wise.
