وَلَمَّا دَخَلُوۡا عَلٰی یُوۡسُفَ اٰوٰۤی اِلَیۡہِ اَخَاہُ ۖ قَالَ اِنِّیۡۤ اَنَا۠ اَخُوۡکَ فَلَا تَبۡتَئِسۡ بِمَا کَانُوۡا یَعۡمَلُوۡنَ
English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ra
And when they visited Joseph, he lodged his brother with himself. And he said, ‘I am thy brother; so now grieve not at what they have been doing.’
اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ
پس جب وہ یوسف کے سامنے پیش ہوئے اس نے اپنے بھائی کو اپنے قریب جگہ دی (اور) کہا یقیناً میں تیرا بھائی ہوں۔ پس جو کچھ وہ کرتے رہے ہیں اس پر غمگین نہ ہو۔

Et lorsqu’ils se présentèrent à Joseph, celui-ci logea son frère avec lui. Et il dit : « Assurément, je suis ton frère ; ne t’afflige donc plus de ce qu’ils ont fait jusqu’à présent. »

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر
اور جب وہ یوسف کے حضور حاضر ہوئے تو اس نے اپنے بھائی کو اپنے پاس جگہ دی اور (اس سے) کہا (کہ) یقیناً میں ہی تیرا (مفقود) بھائی ہوں۔ پس جو کچھ وہ کرتے رہے ہیں اس کی وجہ سے (اب) تو غمگین نہ ہو۔

And when they visited Joseph, he lodged his brother with himself. And he said, ‘I am thy brother; so now grieve not at what they have been doing.’

And when they visited Joseph, he lodged his brother with himself. And he said, ‘I am thy brother; so now grieve not at what they have been doing.’[1571]
Commentary:
The words, so now grieve not at what they have been doing, may mean either that Joseph assured Benjamin that he was his selfsame brother who was supposed to be dead or that he desired to comfort him that henceforth he would be safe from the machinations of his brothers.

یہ لوگ یوسفؑ کے حضور پہنچے تو اس نے اپنے بھائی کو اپنے پاس الگ بلا لیا اور اسے بتا دیا کہ "میں تیرا وہی بھائی ہوں (جو کھویا گیا تھا) اب تو اُن باتوں کا غم نہ کر جو یہ لوگ کرتے رہے ہیں"
English - Sahih
And when they entered upon Joseph, he took his brother to himself; he said, "Indeed, I am your brother, so do not despair over what they used to do [to me]."
