وَاِذۡ قَالَ مُوۡسٰی لِقَوۡمِہِ اذۡکُرُوۡا نِعۡمَۃَ اللّٰہِ عَلَیۡکُمۡ اِذۡ اَنۡجٰٮکُمۡ مِّنۡ اٰلِ فِرۡعَوۡنَ یَسُوۡمُوۡنَکُمۡ سُوۡٓءَ الۡعَذَابِ وَیُذَبِّحُوۡنَ اَبۡنَآءَکُمۡ وَیَسۡتَحۡیُوۡنَ نِسَآءَکُمۡ ۚ وَفِیۡ ذٰلِکُمۡ بَلَآءٌ مِّنۡ رَّبِّکُمۡ عَظِیۡمٌ
English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ra
And call to mind when Moses said to his people, ‘Remember Allah’s favour upon you when He delivered you from Pharaoh’s people who afflicted you with grievous torment, slaying your sons and sparing your women; and in that there was a great trial for you from your Lord.’
اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ
اور (یاد کرو) جب موسیٰ نے اپنی قوم سے کہا کہ اللہ کی نعمت کو یاد کرو جو اس نے تم پر کی جب اس نے تمہیں فرعون کی قوم سے نجات بخشی۔ وہ تمہیں بدترین عذاب دیتے تھے اور تمہارے بیٹوں کو تو ہلاک کر دیتے تھے اور تمہاری عورتوں کو زندہ رکھتے تھے۔ اور اس میں تمہارے ربّ کی طرف سے (تمہارے لئے) بہت بڑا ابتلا تھا۔
French
Et souviens-toi lorsque Moïse dit à son peuple : « Rappelez-vous le bienfait d’Allāh sur vous, lorsqu’Il vous délivra du peuple de Pharaon qui vous infligeait le pire tourment, tuant vos fils et épargnant vos femmes ; et il y avait là, pour vous, une très grande épreuve de la part de votre Seigneur. »

Und (erinnere dich) wie Moses zu seinem Volke sprach: "Seid eingedenk der Gnade Allahs gegen euch, als Er euch errettete vor den Leuten Pharaos, die euch mit schlimmer Qual bedrückten, eure Söhne erschlugen und eure Frauen am Leben ließen; und darin lag eine schwere Prüfung für euch von eurem Herrn."

(读者啊! 也要回忆那个时候:) 穆撒对他的族人说: “(我的族人啊!) [b]要记住 (那个时候) 安拉对你们的恩惠, 当法老的人残酷地折磨你们, 屠杀你们的男儿, 留存你们的妇女, 我使你们脱离了他们的迫害。其中有来自你们养主对你们的极大考验。”

E richiama alla mente quando Mosè disse al suo popolo: «Ricordatevi del favore che vi concesse Allah, quando vi liberò dal popolo del Faraone che vi affliggeva con penosi tormenti, trucidando i vostri figli e lasciando in vita le vostre donne; e in ciò era una grande prova per voi da parte del vostro Signore.»

Y acordaos de cuando Moisés dijo a su pueblo: "Recordad las gracias de Al‑lah para vosotros cuando os libró de las gentes del Faraón que os afligían con un tormento doloroso, matando a vuestros hijos y dejando con vida a vuestras mujeres; en eso había una gran prueba para vosotros de vuestro Señor."
اردو تفسیرِ صغیر
اور (اے مخاطب تو اس وقت کو بھی یاد کر) جب موسیٰ نے اپنی قوم سے کہا تھا (کہ اے میری قوم)! تم اپنے آپ پر اللہ کا (اس وقت کا) انعام یاد کرو جب اس نے تمہیں فرعون کے ساتھیوں سے اس حالت میں بچایا تھا کہ وہ تمہیں سخت عذاب دیتے تھے تمہارے بیٹوں کو مار دیتے تھے اور تمہاری عورتوں کوزندہ رکھتے تھے اور اس میں تمہارے رب کی طرف سے (تمہارے لئے) بڑا (بھاری) امتحان تھا۔

Commentary:
The verse means that Pharaoh afflicted the Israelites with grievous torment. He imposed heavy taxes and forced labour upon them and killed their male children. But God came to their help and saved them from this grievous torment. In this connection see Exod. 1:14, 22.

یاد کرو جب موسیٰؑ نے اپنی قوم سے کہا "اللہ کے اُس احسان کو یاد رکھو جو اس نے تم پر کیا ہے اس نے تم کو فرعون والوں سے چھڑایا جو تم کو سخت تکلیفیں دیتے تھے، تمہارے لڑکوں کو قتل کر ڈالتے تھے اور تمہاری عورتوں کو زندہ بچا رکھتے تھے اس میں تمہارے رب کی طرف سے تمہاری بڑی آزمائش تھی

And [recall, O Children of Israel], when Moses said to His people, "Remember the favor of Allah upon you when He saved you from the people of Pharaoh, who were afflicting you with the worst torment and were slaughtering your [newborn] sons and keeping your females alive. And in that was a great trial from your Lord.

اورجب موسیٰ نے اپنی قوم سے کہا الله کا احسان اپنے اوپر یاد کرو جب تمہیں فرعون کی قوم سے چھڑا یا وہ تمہیں برا عذاب چکھاتے تھے اور تمہارے بیٹوں کو ذبح کرتے تھے اور تمہاری عورتوں کو زندہ رکھتے تھے اور اسمیں تمہارے رب کی طرف سے بڑی آزمائش تھی

Commentary:
The verse means that Pharaoh afflicted the Israelites with grievous torment. He imposed heavy taxes and forced labour upon them and killed their male children. But God came to their help and saved them from this grievous torment. In this connection see Exod. 1:14, 22.
