قُلۡ اَطِیۡعُوا اللّٰہَ وَاَطِیۡعُوا الرَّسُوۡلَ ۖ فَاِنۡ تَوَلَّوۡا فَاِنَّمَا عَلَیۡہِ مَا حُمِّلَ وَعَلَیۡکُمۡ مَّا حُمِّلۡتُمۡ ۖ وَاِنۡ تُطِیۡعُوۡہُ تَہۡتَدُوۡا ۚ وَمَا عَلَی الرَّسُوۡلِ اِلَّا الۡبَلٰغُ الۡمُبِیۡنُ
English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ra
Say, ‘Obey Allah, and obey the Messenger.’ But if you turn away, then upon him is his burden, and upon you is your burden. And if you obey him, you will be rightly guided. And the messenger is not responsible but for the plain delivery of the Message.
اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ
کہہ دے کہ اللہ کی اطاعت کرو اور رسول کی اطاعت کرو۔ پس اگر تم پھر جاؤ تو اُس پر صرف اتنی ہی ذمہ داری ہے جو اُس پر ڈالی گئی ہے اور تم پر بھی اتنی ہی ذمہ داری ہے جتنی تم پر ڈالی گئی ہے۔ اور اگر تم اس کی اطاعت کرو تو ہدایت پا جاؤ گے۔ اور رسول پر کھول کھول کر پیغام پہنچانے کے سوا کچھ ذمہ داری نہیں۔
French
Dis : « Obéissez à Allāh et obéissez au Messager. » Et s’ils se détournent, alors rappelez-vous, quiconque agira ainsi, il sera tenu responsable de ce qui lui aura été confié, tout comme vous serez tenus responsables de ce qui vous aura été confié. Et si vous lui obéissez, vous serez bien guidés. Et le Messager n’est responsable que de la claire transmission du Message.
German
Sprich: "Gehorchet Allah und gehorchet dem Gesandten." Doch wenn ihr euch abkehrt, dann ist er nur für das verantwortlich, was ihm auferlegt wurde, und ihr seid nur für das verantwortlich, was euch auferlegt wurde. Und wenn ihr ihm gehorcht, so werdet ihr dem rechten Weg folgen. Und dem Gesandten obliegt nur die deutliche Verkündigung.

Diles: "Obedeced a Al‑lah y obedeced al Mensajero". Pero si se apartan, recordad entonces que quien así actúe será responsable de lo que se le ha confiado, de igual forma que vosotros seréis responsables de lo que se os ha confiado. Mas si le obedecéis, estaréis rectamente guiados. Pues el Mensajero sólo es encargado de la simple entrega del Mensaje.
اردو تفسیرِ صغیر
تو کہہ اللہ کی اطاعت کرو اور اس کے رسول کی اطاعت کرو۔ پس اگر وہ پھر جائیں تو اس (رسول) پر صرف اس کی ذمہ داری ہے جو اس کے ذمہ لگایا گیا ہے اور تم پر اس کی ذمہ واری ہے جو تمہارے ذمہ لگایا گیا ہے اور اگر تم اس کی اطاعت کرو تو ہدایت پا جاؤ گے اور رسول کے ذمہ تو صرف بات کو کھول کر پہنچا دینا ہے۔
English - Short Commentary Translation
Say, [c]‘Obey Allah, and obey the Messenger.’ But if you turn away, he is responsible for what he is charged with and you are responsible for what you are charged with. And if you obey him, you will be rightly guided. [d]And the Messenger is only responsible for the plain delivery of the Message.

کہو، "اللہ کے مطیع بنو اور رسولؐ کے تابع فرمان بن کر رہو لیکن اگر تم منہ پھیرتے ہو تو خوب سمجھ لو کہ رسولؐ پر جس فرض کا بار رکھا گیا ہے اُس کا ذمہ دار وہ ہے اور تم پر جس فرض کا بار ڈالا گیا ہے اُس کے ذمہ دار تم ہو اُس کی اطاعت کرو گے تو خود ہی ہدایت پاؤ گے ورنہ رسول کی ذمہ داری اس سے زیادہ کچھ نہیں ہے کہ صاف صاف حکم پہنچا دے"
English - Sahih
Say, "Obey Allah and obey the Messenger; but if you turn away - then upon him is only that [duty] with which he has been charged, and upon you is that with which you have been charged. And if you obey him, you will be [rightly] guided. And there is not upon the Messenger except the [responsibility for] clear notification."

کہہ دو الله اور اس کے رسول کی فرمانبرداری کرو پھر اگر منہ پھیرو گے تو پیغمبر تو وہی ہے جس کا وہ ذمہ دار ہے اورتم پر وہ ہے جو تمہارے ذمہ لازم کیا گیا ہے اور اگر اس کی فرمانبرداری کرو گے تو ہدایت پاؤ گے اور رسول کے ذمہ صرف صاف طور پر پہنچا دینا ہے

Say: 'Obey God, and obey the Messenger; then, if you turn away, only upon him rests what is laid on him, and upon you rests what is laid on you. If you obey him, you will be guided. It is only for the Messenger to deliver the manifest Message.'
