وَمِنْ ءَايَٰتِهِۦ يُرِيكُمُ ٱلْبَرْقَ خَوْفًا وَطَمَعًا وَيُنَزِّلُ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مَآءً فَيُحْىِۦ بِهِ ٱلْأَرْضَ بَعْدَ مَوْتِهَآ ۚ إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَءَايَٰتٍ لِّقَوْمٍ يَعْقِلُونَ

English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ^ra

And one of His Signs is this, that He shows you the lightning as a source of fear and hope, and He sends down water from the sky, and quickens therewith the earth after its death. In that surely are Signs for a people who understand.

اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ

اور اس کے نشانات میں سے ہے کہ وہ تمہیں بجلی دکھاتا ہے خوف اور امید کی حالت میں اور بادل سے پانی اُتارتا ہے۔ پس اس کے ذریعہ زمین کو اس کی موت کے بعد زندہ کر دیتا ہے۔ یقیناً اس میں عقل رکھنے والے لوگوں کے لئے بہت سے نشانات ہیں۔

French

Et un de Ses Signes est ceci, qu’Il vous montre l’éclair pour susciter de la crainte et de l’espoir, et qu’Il fait descendre de l’eau du ciel et ranime la terre avec après sa mort. Assurément, il y a là des Signes pour un peuple qui raisonne.

Und unter Seinen Zeichen ist dies, dass Er euch den Blitz zeigt zu Furcht und Hoffen und Wasser vom Himmel herniedersendet und damit die Erde belebt nach ihrem Tode. Hierin sind wahrlich Zeichen für ein Volk, das versteht.

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

اور اس کے نشانوں میں سے یہ بھی ہے کہ وہ تم کو بجلی‘ خوف اور طمع پیدا کرنے کے لئے دکھاتا ہے اور بادل سے پانی اتارتا ہے۔ پھر اس کے ذریعہ سے زمین کو اس کے مرجانے کے بعد زندہ کرتا ہے۔ اس میں عقل والے لوگوں کے لئے بڑے نشان ہیں۔

English - Short Commentary Translation

And of His Signs is that [c]He shows you the lightning for fear and hope,[2280] [d]and He sends down water from the sky, and quickens therewith the earth after its death. In that, surely, are Signs for a people who understand.

Apart from heralding rain which brings fertility and prosperity in its wake, lightning kills germs of various diseases and eliminates worms that destroy crops. Thus, besides causing fear, it is a source of manifold benefits to man. Every element of nature plays its allotted part in the Divine scheme of things, thus hearing testimony to God’s existence, and to His great wisdom and power.

Commentary:

A part from the fact that lightning heralds rain which brings fertility and prosperity in its wake, it kills germs of many different diseases and eliminates worms that destroy crops. So, lightning not only causes fear but is also a source of manifold benefits to man. Every element of nature plays its allotted part in the divine scheme of things, thus bearing testimony to God’s existence, His great wisdom and power.

اور اُس کی نشانیوں میں سے یہ ہے کہ وہ تمہیں بجلی کی چمک دکھاتا ہے خوف کے ساتھ بھی اور طمع کے ساتھ بھی اور آسمان سے پانی برساتا ہے، پھر اس کے ذریعہ سے زمین کو اس کی موت کے بعد زندگی بخشتا ہے یقیناً اِس میں بہت سی نشانیاں ہیں اُن لوگوں کے لیے جو عقل سے کام لیتے ہیں

English - Sahih

And of His signs is [that] He shows you the lightning [causing] fear and aspiration, and He sends down rain from the sky by which He brings to life the earth after its lifelessness. Indeed in that are signs for a people who use reason.

اور اس کی نشانیوں میں سے یہ ہے کہ تمہیں خوف اور امید دلانے کو بجلی دکھاتا ہے اور اوپر سے پانی برساتا ہے پھراس سے زمین خشک ہو جانے کے بعد زندہ کرتا ہے بے شک اس میں عقلمندوں کے لئےنشانیاں ہیں
