وَيَقُولُونَ مَتَىٰ هَٰذَا ٱلْوَعْدُ إِن كُنتُمْ صَٰدِقِينَ

English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ^ra

And they say, ‘When will this promise be fulfilled, if you are truthful?’

اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ

اور وہ کہتے ہیں کہ یہ وعدہ کب پورا ہو گا اگر تم سچے ہو۔

French

Et ils disent : « Quand cette promesse sera-t-elle accomplie, si vous êtes véridiques ? »

German

Und sie sprechen: "Wann wird dieses Versprechen (verwirklicht werden), wenn ihr wahrhaftig seid?"

[b]他们说: “如果你们是诚实者, 那么, 这 (警告的) 预约在什么时候 (实现) ?

Ed essi dicono: «Quando sarà mantenuta questa promessa, se siete veritieri?»

Mas dicen: “¿Cuándo se cumplirá esta promesa, si sois sinceros?”.

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

اور وہ کہتے ہیں (کہ) اگر تم سچے ہو تو یہ وعدہ کب (پورا) ہوگا؟

English - Short Commentary Translation

And [b]they say, ‘When will this promise be fulfilled, if you are truthful?’

21:39; 27:72; 34:30; 36:49.

And [b]they say, ‘When will this promise be fulfilled, if you are truthful?’[1324]

21:39; 27:72; 34:30; 36:49.

Commentary:

Strange, indeed, are the ways of disbelievers! In the preceding verse it was indirectly stated that rejection of, and separation from, a Prophet of God lead to ruin, while those who accept a Prophet are saved. At this disbelievers, instead of seeking God’s mercy, at once begin to ask when the threatened punishment will come. They do not seem to be satisfied with anything except punishment.

کہتے ہیں اگر تمہاری یہ دھمکی سچّی ہے تو آخر یہ کب پُوری ہو گی؟

And they say, "When is [the fulfillment of] this promise, if you should be truthful?"

اور کہتے ہیں یہ وعدہ کب ہے اگر تم سچے ہو

And they say, "When (will) this, the promise (be fulfilled), if you are truthful?"
