10:74

فَکَذَّبُوۡہُ فَنَجَّیۡنٰہُ وَمَنۡ مَّعَہٗ فِی الۡفُلۡکِ وَجَعَلۡنٰہُمۡ خَلٰٓئِفَ وَاَغۡرَقۡنَا الَّذِیۡنَ کَذَّبُوۡا بِاٰیٰتِنَا ۖ فَانۡظُرۡ کَیۡفَ کَانَ عٰقِبَۃُ الۡمُنۡذَرِیۡنَ

English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ^ra

But they rejected him, so We saved him and those who were with him in the Ark. And We made them inheritors of Our favours, while We drowned those who rejected Our Signs. See then, how was the end of those who had been warned!

اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ

پس انہوں نے اُسے جھٹلایا تو ہم نے اسے اور ان کو جو اس کے ساتھ کشتی میں تھے نجات دی اور ان کو جانشین بنا دیا اور ہم نے ان لوگوں کو جنہوں نے ہمارے نشانات کو جھٹلایا تھا غرق کر دیا۔ پس دیکھ کہ جن کو ڈرایا گیا ان کی عاقبت کیسی تھی۔

French

Mais ils le rejetèrent ; aussi, Nous l’avons sauvé, lui et ceux qui étaient avec lui dans l’Arche, et Nous avons fait d’eux les héritiers du pays, tandis que Nous avons noyé ceux qui avaient rejeté Nos Signes. Voyez donc quelle fut la fin de ceux qui avaient été avertis !

German

Doch sie verwarfen ihn, darum retteten Wir ihn und die bei ihm waren in der Arche. Und Wir machten sie zu Nachfolgern, während Wir jene ertrinken ließen, die Unsere Zeichen verworfen hatten. Schau also, wie das Ende derer war, die gewarnt worden waren!

但他们还是拒绝了他, 于是 [b]我拯救了他和与他同船的人。使他们成为前人的继承者, 淹没了那些拒绝我的迹象的人。瞧, 那些受了警告者的结局是怎样的!

29:16.

Ma essi lo rinnegarono, e allora Noi salvammo lui e quelli che erano con lui nell'arca. E Noi li facemmo eredi di nostri favori, mentre annegammo quelli che rinnegarono i Nostri segni. Vedete dunque la fine di quelli che erano stati avvisati.

Spanish

Pero le rechazaron, por lo que le salvamos a él y a quienes estaban con él en el Arca. Y les hicimos herederos de la tierra, a la vez que ahogamos a los que rechazaron Nuestros Signos. ¡Ved, pues, cómo fue el fin de quienes habían sido advertidos!

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

اس پر بھی انہوں نے اسے جھٹلا دیا۔ تب ہم نے اسے اور (نیز) انہیں جو کشتی میں اس کے ساتھ (سوار) تھے بچا لیا۔ اور انہیں ہم نے پہلے لوگوں کا جانشین بنا دیا اور جن لوگوں نے ہمارے نشانوں کو جھٹلایا (تھا) انہیں ہم نے غرق کر دیا۔ سو دیکھو (کہ) جن لوگوں کو (اس عذاب سے) آگاہ کر دیا گیا تھا ان کا انجام کیسا ہوا؟

English - Short Commentary Translation

But they rejected him, so [c]We saved him and those who were with him in the Ark. And We made them inheritors of Our favours, while We drowned those who rejected our Signs. See then, how evil was the end of those who had been warned.

29:16.

But they rejected him, so [b]We saved him and those who were with him in the Ark. And We made them inheritors of Our favours, while We drowned those who rejected Our Signs. See then, how evil was the end of those who had been warned![1347]

Commentary:

This verse tells us that there is a basic difference between the punishment of those who are given a previous warning and that of those who have had no such warning. The words, how evil was the end of those who had been warned, point to this difference. Those warned of the coming punishment of God never escape except by removing the cause of punishment.

The words, We made them inheritors of Our favours, contain a veiled warning for believers. When one people have been destroyed, those who take their place must prove themselves to be deserving of God’s favours, if they wish them to continue.

انہوں نے اسے جھٹلایا اور نتیجہ یہ ہوا کہ ہم نے اسے اور اُن لوگوں کو جو اس کے ساتھ کشتی میں تھے، بچا لیا اور انہی کو زمین میں جانشین بنایا اور ان سب لوگوں کو غرق کر دیا جنہوں نے ہماری آیات کو جھٹلایا تھا پس دیکھ لو کہ جنہیں متنبہ کیا گیا تھا (اور پھر بھی انہوں نے مان کر نہ دیا) اُن کا کیا انجام ہوا

English - Sahih

And they denied him, so We saved him and those with him in the ship and made them successors, and We drowned those who denied Our signs. Then see how was the end of those who were warned.

پھر انہوں نے اسے جھٹلایا پھر ہم نے اسے اور اس کے ساتھیوں کو کشتی میں بچا لیا اور انہیں خلیفہ بنا دیا اور جن لوگو ں نے ہماری آیتوں کو جھٹلایا انہیں غرق کر دیا سو دیکھ لو کہ جو لوگ ڈرائے گئے تھے ان کا انجام کیسا ہوا

But they denied him, so We saved him and (those) who (were) with him in the ship, and We made them successors, and We drowned those who denied Our Signs. Then see how was (the) end (of) those who were warned.

But they cried him lies; so We delivered him, and those with him, in the Ark, and We appointed them as viceroys, and We drowned those who cried lies to Our signs; then behold how was the end of them that were warned!

But they rejected Noah, calling him a liar. So We saved him and those who were with him in the Ark, and made them successors (to the authority in the land), and drowned all those who had rejected Our signs as false. Consider, then, the fate of those who had been warned (and still did not believe).

Even then they denied him; so We saved him and those with him, in the ark, and established them in the land, and drowned those who denied Our signs. So think of the fate of those who were warned (and took no heed).
