16:116

إِنَّمَا حَرَّمَ عَلَيْكُمُ ٱلْمَيْتَةَ وَٱلدَّمَ وَلَحْمَ ٱلْخِنزِيرِ وَمَآ أُهِلَّ لِغَيْرِ ٱللَّهِ بِهِۦ ۖ فَمَنِ ٱضْطُرَّ غَيْرَ بَاغٍ وَلَا عَادٍ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ

English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ^ra

He has made unlawful for you only that which dies of itself and blood and the flesh of swine and that on which the name of any other than Allah has been invoked. But he who is driven by necessity, being neither disobedient nor exceeding the limit, then surely, Allah is Most Forgiving, Merciful.

اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ

اس نے تم پر صرف مرُدار اور خون اور سؤر کا گوشت اور وہ (کھانا) حرام کیا ہے جس پر اللہ کے سوا کسی اور کا نام لیا گیا ہو۔ ہاں جو سخت مجبور ہو جائے، نہ رغبت رکھنے والا ہو اور نہ حد سے بڑھنے والا ، تو یقیناً اللہ بہت بخشنے والا (اور) بار بار رحم کرنے والا ہے۔

French

Il n’a rendu illicite pour vous que la chair de ce qui meurt de soi, et le sang, et la chair de porc et ce sur quoi un autre nom que celui d'Allāh a été invoqué. Mais quiconque est poussé par une nécessité contraignante, n’étant point désireux d’en consommer et n’excédant pas non plus les limites du besoin justifié, alors sûrement, Allāh est Très Pardonnant, Miséricordieux.

German

Verwehrt hat Er euch nur das von selbst Verendete und Blut und Schweinefleisch und das, worüber ein anderer Name als Allahs angerufen wurde. Wer aber durch Not getrieben wird – nicht ungehorsam und das Maß überschreitend –, siehe, dann ist Allah allverzeihend, barmherzig.

[d]他只禁戒你们自毙的 (东西) 、血液、猪肉和诵读安拉以外之名 (而宰的动物)。除非被迫 (食用这些东西), 而非违背 (经律)、超越限度者, 安拉确是极为宽恕的, 永久仁慈的。

Italian

Egli ha reso illecito per voi solo che vi nutriate della carne degli animali che sono morti di morte naturale e del sangue e della carne di maiale e di quella su cui altro nome all'infuori di quello di Allah sia stato invocato. Tuttavia colui che vi è costretto dall'estrema necessità e senza piacere né intento di trasgredire, allora certo Allah è sommamente Misericordioso, Clemente.

Spanish

Él sólo os ha hecho ilícito que comáis la carne de aquellos animales que mueren de muerte natural, la sangre y la carne de cerdo y aquellos sobre los que ha sido invocado el nombre de alguien distinto de Al-lah. Pero quien se vea obligado por la necesidad extrema, careciendo de deseo y ánimo de transgredir, sepa que, en verdad, Al-lah es el Sumo Indulgente, Misericordioso.

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

اس نے تم پر صرف مردار کو اور خون کو اور سؤر کے گوشت کو اور (ہر) اس چیز کو حرام کیا ہے جس پر اللہ کے سوا کسی اور کا نام لیا گیا ہو اور جو شخص (ان میں سے کسی چیز کے کھانے پر) مجبور کیا جائے بحالیکہ وہ (شریعت کا) مقابلہ کرنے والا نہ ہو اور نہ حد سے بڑھنے والا ہو تو (یاد رہے کہ) اللہ بہت ہی بخشنے والا (اور) باربار رحم کرنے والا ہے۔

English - Short Commentary Translation

[c]He has made unlawful for you only that which dies of itself and blood and the flesh of swine and that on which the name of any other than Allah has been invoked. But he who is driven by necessity to eat any of these things, being neither disobedient nor exceeding the limit, then, surely, Allah is Most Forgiving, Merciful.

اردو ترجمہ مودودی

اللہ نے جو کچھ تم پر حرام کیا ہے وہ ہے مُردار اور خون اور سور کا گوشت اور وہ جانور جس پر اللہ کے سوا کسی اور کا نام لیا گیا ہو البتہ بھوک سے مجبور ہو کر اگر کوئی اِن چیزوں کو کھا لے، بغیر اس کے کہ وہ قانون الٰہی کی خلاف ورزی کا خواہش مند ہو، یا حد ضرورت سے تجاوز کا مرتکب ہو، تو یقیناً اللہ معاف کرنے اور رحم فرمانے والا ہے

English - Sahih

He has only forbidden to you dead animals, blood, the flesh of swine, and that which has been dedicated to other than Allah. But whoever is forced [by necessity], neither desiring [it] nor transgressing [its limit] - then indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.

اردو ترجمہ احمد علی

تم پر صرف مردار اور خون اور سور کا گوشت حرام کیا ہے اوروہ چیز بھی جو الله کے سوا کسی اور کے نام سے پکاری گئی ہو پھر جوبھوک کے مارے بیتاب ہو جائے نہ وہ باغی ہو اورنہ حد سے گزرنے والا توالله بخشنے والا مہربان ہے

English - Talal Itani

Only He has forbidden to you the dead animal and the blood and the flesh (of) the swine, and what has been dedicated to other (than) Allah [with it]. But (if) one (is) forced - without (being) disobedient, and not a transgressor - then indeed, Allah (is) Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

English - Arberry

These things only He has forbidden you: carrion, blood, the flesh of swine, what has been hallowed to other than God. Yet whoso is constrained, not desiring nor transgressing, God is All-forgiving, All-compassionate.

English - Maududi

Allah has forbidden you only carrion, and blood, and the flesh of swine; also any animal over which the name of any other than Allah has been pronounced. But whoever eats of them under compelling necessity - neither desiring it nor exceeding the limit of absolute necessity - surely for such action Allah is Much Forgiving, Most Merciful.

He has forbidden carrion and blood and the flesh of the swine, and what has been killed in the name of any other but God; but if one is driven by necessity (to eat it) without craving or reverting to it, then God is forgiving and kind.
