وَكَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا مِنَ ٱلْقُرُونِ مِنۢ بَعْدِ نُوحٍ ۗ وَكَفَىٰ بِرَبِّكَ بِذُنُوبِ عِبَادِهِۦ خَبِيرًۢا بَصِيرًا

English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ^ra

How many generations have We destroyed after Noah! And thy Lord suffices as the Knower and Seer of the sins of His servants.

اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ

اور کتنے ہی زمانوں کے لوگ ہیں جنہیں ہم نے نوح کے بعد ہلاک کیا اور تیرا ربّ اپنے بندوں کے گناہوں کی خبر رکھنے (اور) اُن پر نظر رکھنے کے لحاظ سے بہت کافی ہے۔

Que de générations n’avons-Nous détruites après Noé ! Et ton Seigneur suffit comme Connaisseur et Observateur des péchés de Ses serviteurs.

Wie viele Geschlechter haben Wir nach Noah vernichtet! Und dein Herr kennt und sieht die Sünden Seiner Diener zur Genüge.

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

اور (اسی قانون کے مطابق) ہم نے نوح (کی قوم کو اور اس) کے بعد (یکے بعد دیگرے) بہت سی نسلوں کو ہلاک کیا اور تیرا رب اپنے بندوں کے گناہوں پر (اچھی طرح) آگاہی رکھنے والا (ہے اور انہیں) خوب دیکھتا ہے۔

[a]How many generations did We destroy after Noah! And thy Lord suffices as Knower and Seer of the sins of His servants.

21:12; 65:9.

[a]How many generations have We destroyed after Noah! And thy Lord suffices as the Knower and Seer of the sins of His servants.[1947]

21:12; 65:9.

Commentary:

The verse means to say that the appearance of a Divine Messenger is no new phenomenon. Prophets have been appearing in the world since the days of Noah and the enemies of these Prophets have always come to grief. God cannot punish men for going astray without first sending His Messengers to lead them to the right path.

دیکھ لو، کتنی ہی نسلیں ہیں جو نوحؑ کے بعد ہمارے حکم سے ہلاک ہوئیں تیرا رب اپنے بندوں کے گناہوں سے پوری طرح باخبر ہے اور سب کچھ دیکھ رہا ہے

English - Sahih

And how many have We destroyed from the generations after Noah. And sufficient is your Lord, concerning the sins of His servants, as Acquainted and Seeing.

اور نوح کے بعد ہم نےقوموں کے کئی دور ہلاک کر دیئے ہیں اور تیرا رب اپنے بندوں کے گناہوں کا جاننے والا دیکھنے والا کافی ہے
