يَوْمَئِذٍ لَّا تَنفَعُ ٱلشَّفَٰعَةُ إِلَّا مَنْ أَذِنَ لَهُ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنُ وَرَضِىَ لَهُۥ قَوْلًا

English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ^ra

On that day intercession shall not avail any person save him in whose case the Gracious God grants permission and with whose word of faith He is pleased.

اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ

اس دن شفاعت فائدہ نہیں دے گی مگر اُسے جس کے لئے رحمان اجازت دے اور جس کے حق میں بات کرنے کو وہ پسند کرے۔

French

Ce jour-là l’intercession ne profitera qu’à celui auquel leDieu Gracieux a accordé la permission et dont la parole de foi Lui sera agréable.

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

اس دن شفاعت[3] سوائے اس کے جس کے حق میں شفاعت کرنے کی اجازت رحمن (خدا) دے گا اور جس کے حق میں بات کہنے کو وہ پسند کرے گا۔ کسی کو نفع نہ دے گی۔

اس آیت میں عیسائیوں کا ردّ کیا گیا ہے۔ جو مسیحؑ کو شفیع کہتے ہیں اور محمد رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے شفیع ہونے کا اعلان کیا گیا ہے۔ کیونکہ صرف وہی ہیں جو رحمان پر ایمان لانے پر زور دیتے ہیں اور جن کی شفاعت کو قرآنی کلام نے جائز رکھا ہے لیکن مسیحیت اس کے برخلاف رحمانیت کی منکر ہے اس لئے اس آیت میں شفاعت کی اجازت صرف رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے حق میں ہے۔

English - Short Commentary Translation

On that day [b]intercession shall not avail save the intercession of him whom the Gracious God grants permission and with whose word of faith He is pleased.

21:29; 78:39.

English - Five Volume Translation

On that day [a]intercession shall not avail any person save him in whose case the Gracious God grants permission and with whose word of faith He is pleased.[2319]

Commentary:

The words "in whose case the Gracious God grants permission" may apply to both the intercessor and the person for whom intercession is made.

The expression "and with whose word of faith He is pleased" refers to Muslims. Elsewhere the Quran says about the true followers of Islam: "Allah is well pleased with them, and they are well pleased with Him" (58:23). The verse under comment means to say that at that time Islam will be in the ascendance and all progress and prosperity will fall to the lot of its followers. Allah will be well pleased with them and they will be well pleased with Him.

اُس روز شفاعت کارگر نہ ہو گی، اِلّا یہ کہ کسی کو رحمان اس کی اجازت دے اور اس کی بات سننا پسند کرے

English - Sahih

That Day, no intercession will benefit except [that of] one to whom the Most Merciful has given permission and has accepted his word.

اس دن سفارش کام نہیں آئے گی مگر جسے رحمان نے اجازت دی اور اس کی بات پسند کی

English - Talal Itani

(On) that Day not will benefit the intercession except (to) whom has given permission [to him] the Most Gracious, and He has accepted for him a word.

Upon that day the intercession will not profit, save for him to whom the All-merciful gives leave, and whose speech He approves.
