قَالُوۡا لَنۡ نَّبۡرَحَ عَلَیۡہِ عٰکِفِیۡنَ حَتّٰی یَرۡجِعَ اِلَیۡنَا مُوۡسٰی

English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ^ra

They replied, ‘We shall not cease to worship it until Moses return to us.’

اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ

انہوں نے کہا ہم اس کے سامنے ضرور بیٹھے رہیں گے یہاں تک کہ موسیٰ ہماری طرف لوٹ آئے۔

French

Ils répondirent : « Nous ne cesserons de l’adorer jusqu’à ce que Moïse soit revenu parmi nous. »

German

Sie antworteten: "Wir werden keineswegs aufhören, es anzubeten, bis Moses zu uns zurückkehrt."

Chinese

(可是这个顽固的民族) 说: “我们将不断地崇拜牛犊, 直到穆撒回到我们这里来。”

Italian

Essi risposero: «Continueremo a adorarlo finché Mosè non torni da noi.»

Spanish

Respondieron: “no dejaremos de adorarlo hasta que Moisés vuelva a nosotros”.

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

(مگر اس ضدی قوم نے) کہا‘ جب تک موسیٰ ہماری طرف واپس نہ آئے ہم برابر اس کی عبادت میں مشغول رہیں گے۔

English - Short Commentary Translation

They replied, ‘We shall not cease to worship it until Moses return to us.’

English - Five Volume Translation

They replied, ‘We shall not cease to worship it until Moses return to us.’[2305]

Commentary:

The verse shows that while Moses was held in awe by the Israelites they had no great respect for Aaron.

اردو ترجمہ مودودی

مگر اُنہوں نے اس سے کہہ دیا کہ "ہم تو اسی کی پرستش کرتے رہیں گے جب تک کہ موسیٰؑ واپس نہ آ جائے"

English - Sahih

They said, "We will never cease being devoted to the calf until Moses returns to us."

اردو ترجمہ احمد علی

کہا ہم برابر اسی پر جمے بیٹھے رہیں گے یہاں تک کہ موسیٰ ہمارے پاس لوٹ کر آئے

English - Talal Itani

They said, "Never we will cease being devoted to it until returns to us Musa."

اردہ تفصیرِ صغیر نوٹس ^*

'We will not cease,' they said, 'to cleave to it, until Moses returns to us.')

But they answered: "By no means shall we cease to worship it until Moses returns to us."

They said "So long as Moses does not come back we are not going to give it up, and we will remain devoted to it."

They had said: "We will not abandon this cult, but we will devote ourselves to it until Moses returns to us."
