29:64

وَلَئِنۡ سَاَلۡتَہُمۡ مَّنۡ نَّزَّلَ مِنَ السَّمَآءِ مَآءً فَاَحۡیَا بِہِ الۡاَرۡضَ مِنۡۢ بَعۡدِ مَوۡتِہَا لَیَقُوۡلُنَّ اللّٰہُ ۚ قُلِ الۡحَمۡدُ لِلّٰہِ ۚ بَلۡ اَکۡثَرُہُمۡ لَا یَعۡقِلُوۡنَ

English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ^ra

And if thou ask them, ‘Who sends down water from the sky and therewith gives life to the earth after its death?’, they will surely say, ‘Allah.’ Say, ‘All praise belongs to Allah.’ But most of them understand not.

اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ

اور اگر تُو ان سے پوچھے کہ کس نے آسمان سے پانی نازل کیا پھر اس کے ذریعہ زمین کو اس کی موت کے بعد زندہ کر دیا تو وہ ضرور کہیں گے: اللہ نے ۔ تُو کہہ سب تعریف اللہ ہی کے لئے ہے لیکن اکثر اُن میں سے عقل نہیں رکھتے۔

French

Et si tu leur demandes : « Qui fait descendre l’eau du ciel et en ranime la terre après sa mort ? » ils répondront assurément : « Allāh. » Dis : « Toutes les louanges appartiennent à Allāh ! » Mais la plupart d’entre eux ne comprennent pas.

German

Und wenn du sie fragst: "Wer sendet Wasser vom Himmel nieder und belebt damit die Erde nach ihrem Tod?" – dann werden sie gewisslich sagen: "Allah". Sprich: "Aller Preis gebührt Allah" Jedoch die meisten von ihnen verstehen es nicht.

假如你问他们: “谁从云端下降 (雨) 水并藉它使大地死而复活呢?” 那么, 他们将说: “安拉。” 你说: “一切赞颂都是安拉的。” 但是他们大多数人都不运用理智。

Italian

E se chiedi loro: «Chi fa scendere acqua dal cielo, per ridare vita alla terra dopo che essa è morta?», essi certamente risponderanno: «Allah.» Di': «Ogni lode spetta ad Allah.» Ma la maggior parte di loro non comprende.

Spanish

Y si les preguntas: “¿Quién envía el agua desde el cielo dando así la vida a la tierra después de su muerte?” , dirán ciertamente: “Al-lah”. Diles: “Toda alabanza corresponde a Al‑lah”. Pero la mayoría de ellos no entiende.

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

اور اگر تو ان سے پوچھے کہ بادل سے کس نے پانی اتارا ہے؟ اور پھر اس کے ذریعہ سے زمین کو اس کے مرنے کے بعد زندہ کیا ہے؟ تو وہ کہیں گے۔ یقیناً اللہ نے تو کہہ دے کہ سب تعریف اللہ ہی کے لئے ہے لیکن ان (انسانوں) میں سے اکثر سمجھتے نہیں۔

English - Short Commentary Translation

And if thou ask them, ‘Who sends down water from the sky and therewith gives life to the earth after its death?’ they will, surely, say, ‘Allah.’ Say, ‘All praise belongs to Allah.’ But most of them understand not.

اردو ترجمہ مودودی

اور اگر تم ان سے پوچھو کس نے آسمان سے پانی برسایا اور اِس کے ذریعہ سے مُردہ پڑی ہوئی زمین کو جِلا اٹھایا تو وہ ضرور کہیں گے اللہ نے کہو، الحمدللہ، مگر اکثر لوگ سمجھتے نہیں ہیں

English - Sahih

And if you asked them, "Who sends down rain from the sky and gives life thereby to the earth after its lifelessness?" they would surely say " Allah." Say, "Praise to Allah "; but most of them do not reason.

اور البتہ اگر تو ان سے پوچھے آسمان سے کس نے پانی اتارا پھر اس سے زمین کو اس کے مرنے کے بعد زندہ کیا کہیں گے الله نے کہہ دو سب تعریف الله ہی کے لیے ہے لیکن ان میں سے اکثر نہیں سمجھتے

And if you ask them, "Who sends down from the sky water and gives life thereby (to) the earth after its death?" Surely, they would say, "Allah." Say, "All Praises (are) for Allah." But most of them (do) not use reason.

English - Arberry

If thou askest them, 'Who sends down out of heaven water, and therewith revives the earth after it is dead?' they will say, 'God.' Say: 'Praise belongs to God.' Nay, but most of them have no understanding.

If you were to ask them: “Who sent down water from the sky and therewith revived the earth after its death?” they will certainly say: “Allah.” Say: “To Allah alone be praise and thanks.” But most people do not understand.

If you ask them: "Who sends down rain from the sky and quickens the earth when it is dead?" They will answer: "God." Say: "All praise be to God." But most of them do not understand.
