2:133

وَوَصَّىٰ بِهَآ إِبْرَٰهِۦمُ بَنِيهِ وَيَعْقُوبُ يَٰبَنِىَّ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ ٱصْطَفَىٰ لَكُمُ ٱلدِّينَ فَلَا تَمُوتُنَّ إِلَّا وَأَنتُم مُّسْلِمُونَ

Abraham (Ibrahim(as)) / Enjoins His Progeny Complete Submission Allah / True Religion With Is Islam Istifa’ / Allah Chooses Jacob (Ya‘qub(as)) / Prophet Muslims / Submitters Religion / Prescribed Islam As The True Salah / Enjoined Submit

English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ^ra

The same did Abraham enjoin upon his sons — and so did Jacob — saying: ‘O my sons, truly Allah has chosen this religion for you; so let not death overtake you except when you are in a state of submission.’

2:194

وَقَٰتِلُوهُمْ حَتَّىٰ لَا تَكُونَ فِتْنَةٌ وَيَكُونَ ٱلدِّينُ لِلَّهِ ۖ فَإِنِ ٱنتَهَوْا۟ فَلَا عُدْوَٰنَ إِلَّا عَلَى ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ

Compulsion In Faith (Ikrah Fid-Din)Conscience Disorder (Fitnah, Fasad)Fighting / War Islam / No Compulsion In Religion / Prescribed Islam As The True War (Qital) / Conditions For War (Qital) / To End Disorder, And Achieve Peace Jihad / Waging Persecution

English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ^ra

And fight them until there is no persecution, and religion is freely professed for Allah. But if they desist, then remember that no hostility is allowed except against the aggressors.

3:20

إِنَّ ٱلدِّينَ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلْإِسْلَٰمُ ۗ وَمَا ٱخْتَلَفَ ٱلَّذِينَ أُوتُوا۟ ٱلْكِتَٰبَ إِلَّا مِنۢ بَعْدِ مَا جَآءَهُمُ ٱلْعِلْمُ بَغْيًۢا بَيْنَهُمْ ۗ وَمَن يَكْفُرْ بِـَٔايَٰتِ ٱللَّهِ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ سَرِيعُ ٱلْحِسَابِ

Allah / True Religion With Is Islam Attributes Of Allah / Sari‘ul-Hisab (Quick To Reckon)Dispensation Envy (Hasad)Islam / Universality Of Moral Traits / Envy Religion / Prescribed Islam As The True Islam / True Religion Is

Surely, the true religion with Allah is Islam (complete submission). And those who were given the Book did not disagree but after knowledge had come to them, out of mutual envy. And whoso denies the Signs of Allah, then surely, Allah is quick at reckoning.

3:74

وَلَا تُؤْمِنُوٓا۟ إِلَّا لِمَن تَبِعَ دِينَكُمْ قُلْ إِنَّ ٱلْهُدَىٰ هُدَى ٱللَّهِ أَن يُؤْتَىٰٓ أَحَدٌ مِّثْلَ مَآ أُوتِيتُمْ أَوْ يُحَآجُّوكُمْ عِندَ رَبِّكُمْ ۗ قُلْ إِنَّ ٱلْفَضْلَ بِيَدِ ٱللَّهِ يُؤْتِيهِ مَن يَشَآءُ ۗ وَٱللَّهُ وَٰسِعٌ عَلِيمٌ

Allah / Guides Towards The Right Path Allah / Hand Of Anthropo-Morphism (Tajsim), Hand Of God Argue / In The Best Way Attributes Of Allah / Al-Wasi‘ (The Bountiful)Bounty / Allah Bestows His Grace (Fadl) / On Whom Allah Pleases Guidance / Allah Gives Religion / Prescribed Islam As The True Apostate (Murtad) / Will In No Way Harm Allah, Islam

English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ^ra

‘And obey none but him who follows your religion;’ — Say, ‘Surely, the true guidance, the guidance of Allah, is that one may be given the like of that which has been given to you’ — ‘or they would dispute with you before your Lord.’ Say, ‘All bounty is in the hand of Allah. He gives it to whomsoever He pleases. And Allah is Bountiful, All-Knowing.

3:86

وَمَن يَبْتَغِ غَيْرَ ٱلْإِسْلَٰمِ دِينًا فَلَن يُقْبَلَ مِنْهُ وَهُوَ فِى ٱلْءَاخِرَةِ مِنَ ٱلْخَٰسِرِينَ

Allah / True Religion With Is Islam Islam / Final, Perfect Religion Losers (Khasirun)Qabul / Accept Religion / Prescribed Islam As The True

And whoso seeks a religion other than Islam, it shall not be accepted from him, and in the life to come he shall be among the losers.

4:126

وَمَنْ أَحْسَنُ دِينًا مِّمَّنْ أَسْلَمَ وَجْهَهُۥ لِلَّهِ وَهُوَ مُحْسِنٌ وَٱتَّبَعَ مِلَّةَ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ حَنِيفًا ۗ وَٱتَّخَذَ ٱللَّهُ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ خَلِيلًا

Abraham (Ibrahim(as)) / Ever Inclined To Allah, (Hanif)Abraham (Ibrahim(as)) / Friend Of Allah Abraham (Ibrahim(as)) / Religion Of Allah / Friend Of Believers Hanif Islam / Teachings Of Man / Purpose Of Creation Muhsin / Who Do Good / Are Rewarded Religion / Prescribed Islam As The True

And who is better in faith than he who submits himself to Allah, and he is a doer of good, and follows the religion of Abraham, the upright? And Allah took Abraham for a special friend.

5:4

حُرِّمَتْ عَلَيْكُمُ ٱلْمَيْتَةُ وَٱلدَّمُ وَلَحْمُ ٱلْخِنزِيرِ وَمَآ أُهِلَّ لِغَيْرِ ٱللَّهِ بِهِۦ وَٱلْمُنْخَنِقَةُ وَٱلْمَوْقُوذَةُ وَٱلْمُتَرَدِّيَةُ وَٱلنَّطِيحَةُ وَمَآ أَكَلَ ٱلسَّبُعُ إِلَّا مَا ذَكَّيْتُمْ وَمَا ذُبِحَ عَلَى ٱلنُّصُبِ وَأَن تَسْتَقْسِمُوا۟ بِٱلْأَزْلَٰمِ ۚ ذَٰلِكُمْ فِسْقٌ ۗ ٱلْيَوْمَ يَئِسَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ مِن دِينِكُمْ فَلَا تَخْشَوْهُمْ وَٱخْشَوْنِ ۚ ٱلْيَوْمَ أَكْمَلْتُ لَكُمْ دِينَكُمْ وَأَتْمَمْتُ عَلَيْكُمْ نِعْمَتِى وَرَضِيتُ لَكُمُ ٱلْإِسْلَٰمَ دِينًا ۚ فَمَنِ ٱضْطُرَّ فِى مَخْمَصَةٍ غَيْرَ مُتَجَانِفٍ لِّإِثْمٍ ۙ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ

Animals (Dabbah), (An‘am) / Unlawful Arrows / Divination By Attributes Of Allah / Ar-Rahim (The Merciful)Blood / Forbidden Carrion (Maitah)Despair Disobedience (‘Isyan, Fusuq)Fear / Of Allah, (Khashi‘ah)Fisq / Abhorrence, Disobedience Flesh (Lahm) / As Food Islam / Final, Perfect Religion Law / Dietary Ni‘mat / Favours Qur’an / Excellence, Perfection Of, (Ummul-Kitab)Religion / Prescribed Islam As The True Swine / Flesh Of Prohibited Unlawful (Haram)

Forbidden to you is the flesh of an animal which dies of itself, and blood and the flesh of swine; and that on which is invoked the name of one other than Allah; and that which has been strangled; and that beaten to death; and that killed by a fall; and that which has been gored to death; and that of which a wild animal has eaten, except that which you have properly slaughtered; and that which has been slaughtered at an altar. And forbidden is also that you seek to know your lot by the divining arrows. That is an act of disobedience. This day have those who disbelieve despaired of harming your religion. So fear them not, but fear Me. This day have I perfected your religion for you and completed My favour upon you and have chosen for you Islam as religion. But whoso is forced by hunger, without being wilfully inclined to sin, then, surely, Allah is Most Forgiving, Merciful.
