وَلَا يَحْزُنكَ ٱلَّذِينَ يُسَٰرِعُونَ فِى ٱلْكُفْرِ ۚ إِنَّهُمْ لَن يَضُرُّوا۟ ٱللَّهَ شَيْـًٔا ۗ يُرِيدُ ٱللَّهُ أَلَّا يَجْعَلَ لَهُمْ حَظًّا فِى ٱلْءَاخِرَةِ ۖ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌ
English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ra
And let not those who hastily fall into disbelief grieve thee; surely, they cannot harm Allah in any way. Allah desires not to assign any portion for them in the life to come; and they shall have a severe punishment.
اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ
اور تجھے دکھ میں نہ ڈالیں وہ لوگ جو کفر میں تیزی سے آگے بڑھ رہے ہیں۔ یقیناً وہ ہرگز اللہ کو کوئی نقصان نہیں پہنچا سکیں گے۔ اللہ یہ چاہتا ہے کہ آخرت میں ان کا کچھ بھی حصہ نہ رکھے۔ اور ان کے لئے بہت بڑا عذاب (مقدر) ہے۔
French
Et que ceux qui se précipitent dans l’incroyance ne t’affligent pas. Assurément, ils ne peuvent nuire à Allāh en aucune façon. Allāh ne désire pas leur attribuer une portion quelconque de la vie à venir ; et ils auront un très grand châtiment.

Und lass jene dich nicht betrüben, die rasch dem Unglauben verfallen; fürwahr, sie können Allah auf keine Weise Schaden tun. Allah will ihnen keinen Anteil am Jenseits geben; und ihnen wird strenge Strafe.

E non farti affliggere da coloro che cadono rapidamente nella miscredenza. Certamente essi non possono far del male ad Allah in alcun modo. Allah non desidera assegnare loro alcuna parte nella vita a venire; ed essi avranno un severo castigo.

Y no permitas que te aflijan quienes se precipitan en la incredulidad; ciertamente, no pueden perjudicar a Al-lah en absoluto. Al-lah no desea reservarles una parte en la vida futura; y sufrirán un severo castigo.
اردو تفسیرِ صغیر
اور جو لوگ کفر میں جلدی (جلدی) آگے بڑھ رہے ہیں وہ تجھے غمگین نہ کریں! وہ اللہ کو ہرگز کوئی ضرر نہیں پہنچا سکتے۔ اللہ چاہتا ہے کہ آخرت میں ان کے لئے کوئی حصہ نہ رکھے اور ان کے لئے بڑا عذاب (مقدر) ہے۔
English - Short Commentary Translation
[c]And let not those who hasten to fall into disbelief grieve thee; surely, they cannot harm Allah[533] in any way. Allah desires not to assign them any portion in the life to come; and they shall have a severe punishment.
5:42.
Those who try to harm Islam or the Holy Prophet and his followers, in reality, try to harm God Himself, because the cause of the Holy Prophet is God’s own cause.

[a]And let not those who hastily fall into disbelief grieve thee; surely, they cannot harm Allah in any way. Allah desires not to assign any portion for them in the life to come; and they shall have a severe punishment.[459]
5:42.
Commentary:
The clause, who hastily fall into disbelief, refers to the hypocrites and the weak in faith whom the slightest trial throws into disbelief. The word "portion" means "portion of grace and God’s mercy".
اردو ترجمہ مودودی
(اے پیغمبرؐ) جو لوگ آج کفر کی راہ میں بڑی دوڑ دھوپ کر رہے ہیں ان کی سرگرمیاں تمہیں آزردہ نہ کریں، یہ اللہ کا کچھ بھی نہ بگاڑ سکیں گے اللہ کا ارادہ یہ ہے کہ اُن کے لیے آخرت میں کوئی حصہ نہ رکھے، اور بالآخر ان کو سخت سزا ملنے والی ہے
English - Sahih
And do not be grieved, [O Muhammad], by those who hasten into disbelief. Indeed, they will never harm Allah at all. Allah intends that He should give them no share in the Hereafter, and for them is a great punishment.

اور وہ لوگ آپ ے غم میں نہ ڈال دیں جو کفر کی طرف دوڑتے ہیں وہ الله کا کچھ نہیں بگاڑیں گے الله ارادہ کرتا ہے کہ آخرت میں انہیں کوئی حصہ نہ دے اوران کے لیے بڑا عذاب ہے

And (let) not grieve you those who hasten in(to) [the] disbelief. Indeed, they never will harm Allah (in) anything. intends Allah that not He will set for them any portion in the Hereafter. And for them (is) a punishment great.

Let them not grieve thee that vie with one another in unbelief; they will nothing hurt God; God desires not to appoint for them a portion in the world to come, and there awaits them a mighty chastisement.

Let not those who run towards disbelief grieve you; they shall not hurt Allah in the least. Allah will not provide for them any share in the Next Life. A mighty punishment awaits them.
