وَلَوْ شِئْنَا لَءَاتَيْنَا كُلَّ نَفْسٍ هُدَىٰهَا وَلَٰكِنْ حَقَّ ٱلْقَوْلُ مِنِّى لَأَمْلَأَنَّ جَهَنَّمَ مِنَ ٱلْجِنَّةِ وَٱلنَّاسِ أَجْمَعِينَ

English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ^ra

And if We had enforced Our will, We could have given every soul its guidance, but the word from Me has come true: ‘I will fill Hell with Jinn and men all together.’

اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ

اور اگر ہم چاہتے تو ہر نفس کو اس کی (مناسبِ حال) ہدایت عطا کر دیتے لیکن میری طرف سے فرمان صادر ہوچکا ہے کہ میں جہنم کو ضرور سب جن واِنس سے بھردوں گا۔

Et si Nous l’avions voulu, Nous aurions pu donner à chaque âme sa direction, mais Ma parole à l’égard des méchants devait être réalisée : « Certainement, Je remplirai l’Enfer de djinns et d’hommes tous ensemble. »

Und hätten Wir gewollt, Wir hätten jedem seinen Weg zeigen können; jedoch Mein Wort ist wahr geworden: "Füllen will Ich die Hölle mit Jinn und Menschen allzumal."

倘若我实施我的旨意, 我必给每个人适当的指导, 但是 (关于作恶的人) 我的言语已实现了: [c]“我必将用精纳和人充满火狱。”

E se Noi avessimo imposto la Nostra volontà, avremmo potuto dare ad ogni anima la propria guida, ma si è avverata la Mia parola «Io riempirò l'Inferno di Ğinn e di uomini insieme.»

Mas si hubiésemos impuesto Nuestra voluntad, podríamos haber ado a cada alma su guía, pero Mi obra, en relación con los malvados, había de cumplirse: “Llenaré el infierno con Yinn y hombres, todos juntos”.

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

اور اگر ہم چاہتے تو ہر شخص کو اس کے مناسب حال ہدایت دیتے[4]۔ لیکن میری بات پوری ہوگئی کہ میں ضرور جہنم کو جنوں اور انسانوں سے پر کروں گا۔

عربی الفاظ کے معنے یہ ہیں کہ ہم اسے اس کی ہدایت دیتے مگر مطلب یہ ہے کہ اس کے مناسب حال ہدایت دیتے۔

English - Short Commentary Translation

And if We had enforced Our will, We could have given every soul its appropriate guidance, but the word from Me has come true that [c]‘I will fill Hell with jinn and men all together.’[2325]

11:120; 15:44; 38:86.

The reference in these words is to 15:43, 44 where it is stated, 'Such of the erring ones as choose to follow thee, surely, Hell is the promised place for them,' meaning thereby that only the 'erring ones,' will be cast into Hell.

English - Five Volume Translation

And if We had enforced Our will, We could have given every soul its guidance, but the word from Me has come true: [a]‘I will fill Hell with Jinn and men all together.’[3067]

11:120; 15:44; 38:85-86.

Commentary:

The reference in the words "I will fill Hell with jinn and men all together" is to 15:43-44 where it is stated, "such of the erring ones as choose to follow thee, surely Hell is the promised place for them," meaning thereby that only the "erring ones" will be cast into Hell.

اردو ترجمہ مودودی

(جواب میں ارشاد ہو گا) "اگر ہم چاہتے تو پہلے ہی ہر نفس کو اس کی ہدایت دے دیتے مگر میری وہ بات پُوری ہو گئی جو میں نے کہی تھی کہ میں جہنّم کو جنوں اور انسانوں سب سے بھر دوں گا

English - Sahih

And if We had willed, We could have given every soul its guidance, but the word from Me will come into effect [that] "I will surely fill Hell with jinn and people all together.

اور اگر ہم چاہتے ہیں تو ہر شخص کو ہدایت پر لے آتے لیکن ہماری بات پوری ہو کر رہی کہ ہم جنوں اور آدمیوں سے جہنم بھر کر رہیں گے

And if We (had) willed, surely We (would) have given every soul its guidance, but (is) true the Word from Me that I will surely fill Hell with the jinn and the men together.

'If We had so willed, We could have given every soul its guidance; but now My Word is realized -- " Assuredly I shall fill Gehenna with jinn and men all together."

(They will be told): “If We had so willed, We could have bestowed guidance on every person. But the Word from Me that I will fill Hell with men and jinn, all together, has been fulfilled.
