34:24

وَلَا تَنفَعُ ٱلشَّفَٰعَةُ عِندَهُۥٓ إِلَّا لِمَنْ أَذِنَ لَهُۥ ۚ حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا فُزِّعَ عَن قُلُوبِهِمْ قَالُوا۟ مَاذَا قَالَ رَبُّكُمْ ۖ قَالُوا۟ ٱلْحَقَّ ۖ وَهُوَ ٱلْعَلِىُّ ٱلْكَبِيرُ

English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ^ra

No intercession avails with Him, except for him about whom He permits it, until when their hearts are relieved of fright they would say, ‘What is it that your Lord said?’ They (the Messengers) will answer, ‘The truth.’ And He is the High, the Great.

اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ

اور اُس کے حضور کسی کے حق میں شفاعت کام نہیں آئے گی سوائے اس کے جس کے حق میں اس نے اجازت دی ہو۔ یہاں تک کہ جب ان کے دلوں سے گھبراہٹ دور کر دی جائے گی تو وہ (اپنی شفاعت کرنے والوں سے) پوچھیں گے (ابھی) تمہارے ربّ نے کیا کہا تھا؟ وہ کہیں گے حق (کہا تھا) اور وہ بہت بلند شان والا (اور) بہت بڑا ہے۔

French

L’intercession auprès de Lui ne sera d’aucun profit, sauf l’intercession de celui à qui Il le permet, jusqu’à ce que, quand la frayeur sera enlevée de leur cœur, ils diront : « Qu’a dit votre Seigneur ? Les messagers répondront : « La vérité. » Et Il est le Très-Haut, l’Incomparablement Grand.

Auch nützt bei Ihm keine Fürbitte, außer für den, bei dem Er es erlaubt, so dass, wenn der Schrecken aus ihren Seelen gewichen ist und sie fragen: "Was hat euer Herr gesprochen?", sie antworten werden: "Die Wahrheit". Und Er ist der Erhabene, der Große.

除了安拉所许可者之外, 在安拉面前[a]说情是没有益处的。当他们 (受赐求情许可者) (内心) 的惧怕解除时, (别人向) 他们说: “你们的养主说了什么?” 他们 (回答) 说: “真理。” 他是崇高的, 伟大的。

Italian

Non giova l'intercessione presso di Lui, se non a colui al quale Egli lo permette; finché, quando i loro cuori saranno liberati dal timore, altri diranno: «Che cosa ha detto il vostro Signore?» Essi (i messaggeri) risponderanno: «La verità.» Ed Egli è l'Eccelso, il Grande.

Spanish

Ante Él no sirve intercesión alguna salvo para quien Él selo permite, hasta que, cuando sus corazones pierden el temor, dicen: “¿Qué es lo que dijo tu Señor?”. Ellos (los Mensajeros) responderán: “La verdad”. Pues Él es el Alto, el Grande.

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

اور اس (اللہ) کے حضور اس شخص کی شفاعت کے سوا جس کو اللہ نے اجازت دی ہو[1] (یا جس شخص کے حق میں اللہ نے شفاعت کرنے کی اجازت دی ہو) کسی شخص کی شفاعت نفع نہیں بخشتی۔ یہاں تک کہ جب ان (شفاعت کی اجازت پانے والے گروہ) کے دلوں پر سے رعب جاتا رہتا ہے تو دوسرے لوگ ان سے کہتے ہیں کہ ابھی تمہارے رب نے تم سے کیا کہا تھا۔ اس پر وہ جواب دیتے ہیں کہ جو کچھ کہا تھا‘ سچ ہی کہا تھا اور وہ بلند شان اور بڑے اختیارات والا ہے[2]۔

یعنی محمد رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم۔

چونکہ پہلے یہ کہا گیا تھا کہ کفار کے حق میں کبھی سفارش قبول نہیں کی جائے گی اور اب یہ کہا گیا ہے کہ سفارش قبول کی جائے گی اور یہ اختلاف تھا اس لئے اس آیت میں اس اختلاف کو دور کیا گیا ہے اور فرماتا ہے کہ شفاعت قبول تو ہوگی مگر اس کی جس کو خداتعالیٰ اجازت دے گا اور چونکہ شفاعت کا قبول ہونا اذن پر مبنی ہے۔ اس لئے جن کو شفاعت کی اجازت دی جائے گی وہ بھی گھبرا جائیں گے اور کہیں گے کہ یہ غیر معمولی کام ہم سے کیوں لیا جاتا ہے۔ تب ان کے اردگرد کے دوسرے ملائکہ یا دوسری مخلوق ان سے پوچھے گی کہ ابھی راز کے طور پر تم کو خداتعالیٰ نے کیا کہا ہے۔ وہ کہیں گے بظاہر تو انہونی بات ہے مگر چون

English - Short Commentary Translation

[b]No intercession avails with Him, except of him whom He permits it,[2389A] until when the hearts[2390] of those who are granted permission to intercede are relieved of awe, others[2391] would say, ‘What is it that your Lord said?’ They[2392] will answer, ‘The truth.’ And He is the High, the Great.

The Holy Prophet. The words may also mean, 'About whom God permits that intercession may be made in his favour.'

The hearts of the intercessors.

The sinful people who will be punished.

The intercessors or the Messengers of God.

[b]No intercession avails with Him, except for him about whom He permits it, until when their hearts are relieved of fright they would say, ‘What is it that your Lord said?’ They (the Messengers) will answer, ‘The truth.’ And He is the High, the Great.[3150]

Important Words:

فزع (relieved of fear) is derived from فزع (fazi‘a) which means, he feared, or became afraid of. فزعه (fazza‘-hu) means, he frightened him. فزعه عنه means, he removed fear or fright from him (Lane & Aqrab).

Commentary:

The verse signifies that when punishment is decreed for a people on account of their evil deeds, no intercession can avail them.

The words "their hearts" may signify "the hearts of the intercessors" and the pronoun "they" in the words "they would say" refers to the sinful people who will be punished, and the second "they" in the expression "they will answer, 'the truth'" to the intercessors or to the Messengers of God. Or the words "their hearts" may refer to the hearts of disbelievers and the pronoun "they" to them in both the sentences. In such a case the verse would mean that when the curtain will be lifted from the eyes of disbelievers and reality will dawn on them in its naked form, they will say to themselves that what God had said through His Messengers was true.

اور اللہ کے حضور کوئی شفاعت بھی کسی کے لیے نافع نہیں ہو سکتی بجز اُس شخص کے جس کے لیے اللہ نے سفارش کی اجازت دی ہو حتیٰ کہ جب لوگوں کے دلوں سے گھبراہٹ دور ہو گی تو وہ (سفارش کرنے والوں سے) پوچھیں گے کہ تمہارے رب نے کیا جواب دیا وہ کہیں گے کہ ٹھیک جواب ملا ہے اور وہ بزرگ و برتر ہے

English - Sahih

And intercession does not benefit with Him except for one whom He permits. [And those wait] until, when terror is removed from their hearts, they will say [to one another], "What has your Lord said?" They will say, "The truth." And He is the Most High, the Grand.

اردو ترجمہ احمد علی

اور اس کے ہاں سفارش نفع نہ دے گی مگر اسی کو جس کے لیے وہ اجازت دے گا یہاں تک کہ جب ان کے دل سے گھبراہٹ دور ہوجاتی ہے کہتے ہیں تمہارے رب نے کیا فرمایا وہ کہتے ہیں سچی بات فرمائی اوروہی عالیشان اور سب سے بڑا ہے

And not benefits the intercession with Him except for (one) whom He permits for him. Until when fear is removed on their hearts, they will say, "What is that - your Lord has said?" They will say, "The truth." And He (is) the Most High, the Most Great.

No intercession can avail with Allah except for him whom Allah permits (to intercede). When their hearts are relieved of fright they will ask the intercessors: “What did your Lord say?” They will reply: “(He said) what is right, and He is the High, the Great.”

No intercession avails with Him except his He allows, so that when their hearts are freed of fear, they ask (one another): "What did your Lord say?" They will answer: "What is expedient. He is the all-mighty and supreme."

So far (is this the case) that, when terror is removed from their hearts (at the Day of Judgment, then) will they say, 'what is it that your Lord commanded?' they will say, 'That which is true and just; and He is the Most High Most Great'."
