2:56

وَإِذْ قُلْتُمْ يَٰمُوسَىٰ لَن نُّؤْمِنَ لَكَ حَتَّىٰ نَرَى ٱللَّهَ جَهْرَةً فَأَخَذَتْكُمُ ٱلصَّٰعِقَةُ وَأَنتُمْ تَنظُرُونَ

Calamities (‘Adhab) / Thunderbolt, (Sa‘iqah), (Saihah)Israelites / Demanding Nature OfBani Isra’il / Bestowed Favours
English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ra
And remember when you said: ‘O Moses, we will by no means believe thee until we see Allah face to face;’ then the thunderbolt overtook you, while you gazed.
4:154

يَسْـَٔلُكَ أَهْلُ ٱلْكِتَٰبِ أَن تُنَزِّلَ عَلَيْهِمْ كِتَٰبًا مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ ۚ فَقَدْ سَأَلُوا۟ مُوسَىٰٓ أَكْبَرَ مِن ذَٰلِكَ فَقَالُوٓا۟ أَرِنَا ٱللَّهَ جَهْرَةً فَأَخَذَتْهُمُ ٱلصَّٰعِقَةُ بِظُلْمِهِمْ ۚ ثُمَّ ٱتَّخَذُوا۟ ٱلْعِجْلَ مِنۢ بَعْدِ مَا جَآءَتْهُمُ ٱلْبَيِّنَٰتُ فَعَفَوْنَا عَن ذَٰلِكَ ۚ وَءَاتَيْنَا مُوسَىٰ سُلْطَٰنًا مُّبِينًا

Bani Isra’il / Broke The Covenant, Perverted The WordCalamities (‘Adhab) / Thunderbolt, (Sa‘iqah), (Saihah)Calf / Heifer, Cow / Took For WorshipHeaven (Sama’) / Descent FromPeople Of The Book (Ahlul-Kitab)Transgression (Tagha), (‘Udwan)

The People of the Book ask thee to cause a Book to descend on them from heaven. They asked Moses a greater thing than this: they said, ‘Show us Allah openly.’ Then a destructive punishment overtook them because of their transgression. Then they took the calf for worship after clear Signs had come to them, but We pardoned even that. And We gave Moses manifest authority.
11:68

وَأَخَذَ ٱلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا۟ ٱلصَّيْحَةُ فَأَصْبَحُوا۟ فِى دِيَٰرِهِمْ جَٰثِمِينَ

And punishment overtook those who had done wrong, and they lay prostrate in their houses,
13:14

وَيُسَبِّحُ ٱلرَّعْدُ بِحَمْدِهِۦ وَٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ مِنْ خِيفَتِهِۦ وَيُرْسِلُ ٱلصَّوَٰعِقَ فَيُصِيبُ بِهَا مَن يَشَآءُ وَهُمْ يُجَٰدِلُونَ فِى ٱللَّهِ وَهُوَ شَدِيدُ ٱلْمِحَالِ

Adoration (Sabbih), Praise, Exalt, Pray, Glorify (Sabbih), Praise, Exalt, Pray, GlorifyAttributes Of Allah / Shadidul-Mihal (Severe In Punishment)Calamities (‘Adhab) / Thunderbolt, (Sa‘iqah), (Saihah)Dispute
English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ra
And the thunder glorifies Him with His praise and likewise do the angels for awe of Him; and He sends the thunderbolts, and smites therewith whom He wills, yet they dispute concerning Allah, while He is severe in punishing.
41:14

فَإِنْ أَعْرَضُوا۟ فَقُلْ أَنذَرْتُكُمْ صَٰعِقَةً مِّثْلَ صَٰعِقَةِ عَادٍ وَثَمُودَ

‘Ad / People Of / Destroyed For Denial Of Signs, ArroganceCalamities (‘Adhab)Calamities (‘Adhab) / Thunderbolt, (Sa‘iqah), (Saihah)Hud(as) / People PunishedSalih(as) / And Story Of (Thamud)Thamud / Punished

But if they turn away, then say: ‘I warn you of a destructive punishment like the punishment which overtook ‘Ad and Thamud.’
41:18

وَأَمَّا ثَمُودُ فَهَدَيْنَٰهُمْ فَٱسْتَحَبُّوا۟ ٱلْعَمَىٰ عَلَى ٱلْهُدَىٰ فَأَخَذَتْهُمْ صَٰعِقَةُ ٱلْعَذَابِ ٱلْهُونِ بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَكْسِبُونَ

Accountability (Hisab) / Allah Calls To AccountBlind / Cannot Guide Those Who Choose To BeCalamities (‘Adhab) / Thunderbolt, (Sa‘iqah), (Saihah)Salih(as) / And Story Of (Thamud)

And as for Thamud, We gave them guidance, but they preferred blindness to guidance, so the calamity of a humiliating punishment seized them, on account of what they had earned.
51:45

فَعَتَوْا۟ عَنْ أَمْرِ رَبِّهِمْ فَأَخَذَتْهُمُ ٱلصَّٰعِقَةُ وَهُمْ يَنظُرُونَ

Calamities (‘Adhab) / Thunderbolt, (Sa‘iqah), (Saihah)Salih(as) / And Story Of (Thamud)

But they rebelled against the command of their Lord. So the thunderbolt overtook them while they gazed;
