وَقَالُوٓا۟ ءَامَنَّا بِهِۦ وَأَنَّىٰ لَهُمُ ٱلتَّنَاوُشُ مِن مَّكَانٍۭ بَعِيدٍ

English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ^ra

And they will say, ‘We now believe therein.’ But how can the attaining of faith be possible to them from a position so far-off,

اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ

اور وہ کہیں گے ہم اس پر ایمان لے آئے اور ایک دُور کے مقام سے ان کا (ایمان کو) پکڑ لینا کیسے ممکن ہو سکتا ہے۔

French

Et ils diront : « Nous y croyons maintenant. » Mais comment leur serait-il possible maintenant d’atteindre la foi d’une position si éloignée ?

Und sie werden sprechen: "(Nun) glauben wir daran." Allein wie kann das Erlangen (des Glaubens) ihnen an einem (so) fernen Orte möglich sein,

他们将说: “我们现在信仰了它 («古兰经»)。” 可是他们离开它那么遥远的地方, 怎样还能获得它?

E diranno: «Ora noi ci crediamo.» Ma come può l'acquisizione della fede essere possibile per loro da una posizione così lontana?*

Spanish

Y dirán: “Ahora creemos en ello”. Pero ¿cómo podrán alcanzarlo ahora habiéndose alejado tanto?.

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

اور کہیں گے ہم اس (کلام) پر ایمان لے آئے لیکن ان کو اس (یعنی ایمان) کا حاصل کرنا اتنی دور جاکر کس طرح نصیب ہو سکتا ہے۔

English - Short Commentary Translation

And they will say, ‘We now believe therein.’ But how can they attain faith from a position so far-off?[2405]

The words may mean "after death" and the verse may signify that disbelievers will surely, realize after death that they were in the wrong. Disbelievers make foolish conjectures about the failure of the Prophet’s mission, which being far removed from the source of "the unseen" or from reality, reason and truth are foolish and baseless.

English - Five Volume Translation

And they will say, ‘We now believe therein.’ But how can the attaining of faith be possible to them from a position so far-off,[3173]

Commentary:

The words "from a position so far-off" may mean "after death." In this sense the verse would mean that disbelievers will surely realize after death that they were in the wrong.

اُس وقت یہ کہیں گے کہ ہم اُس پر ایمان لے آئے حالانکہ اب دور نکلی ہوئی چیز کہاں ہاتھ آسکتی ہے

And they will [then] say, "We believe in it!" But how for them will be the taking [of faith] from a place far away?

اور کہیں گے ہم اس (قرآن) پرایمان لے آئے ہیں اور اتنی دور سے (ایمان کا) ان کے ہاتھ آناکہاں ممکن ہے
