36:12

إِنَّمَا تُنذِرُ مَنِ ٱتَّبَعَ ٱلذِّكْرَ وَخَشِىَ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنَ بِٱلْغَيْبِ ۖ فَبَشِّرْهُ بِمَغْفِرَةٍ وَأَجْرٍ كَرِيمٍ

English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ^ra

Thou canst warn only him who would follow the Reminder and fear the Gracious God in secret. So give him the glad tidings of forgiveness and a noble reward.

اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ

تُو صرف اُسے ڈراسکتا ہے جو نصیحت کی پیروی کرتا ہے اور رحمان سے غیب میں ڈرتا ہے۔ پس اسے ایک بڑی مغفرت کی اور معزز اجر کی خوشخبری دےدے۔

French

Tu ne peux avertir que celui qui veut suivre l’Avertissement, et craindre en secret le Dieu Gracieux. Aussi, annonce-lui la bonne nouvelle d'un pardon et d’une noble récompense.

German

Du vermagst nur den zu warnen, der die Ermahnung befolgt und den Gnädigen im verborgenen fürchtet. Gib ihm darum frohe Botschaft von Vergebung und einem ehrenvollen Lohn.

[d]你只能警告听从教诲、暗中惧怕无限博爱者的人。所以你向他传达伟大的宽恕和贵重的回赐的喜讯吧!

Tu puoi ammonire solo chi è disposto a seguire il Monito e a temere in segreto il Dio Clemente. Dagli dunque la buona notizia del perdono e di una nobile ricompensa.

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

تو تو صرف اس شخص کو ہوشیار کر سکتا ہے جو یاددہانی کو مان لیا کرتا ہے اور رحمن (خدا) سے علیحدگی میں بھی ڈرتا ہے۔ پس ایسے شخص کو تو ایک عظم الشان معافی اور ایک عزت والے بدلہ کی خبر سنا دے۔

Commentary:

The expression بالغیب (in secret) may mean that (1) a believer fears God while he does not see Him; (2) he behaves as a righteous and God-fearing person even when other people are not seeing him, i.e. he is sincere and honest in his belief and actions.

اردو ترجمہ مودودی

تم تو اُسی شخص کو خبردار کر سکتے ہی جو نصیحت کی پیروی کرے اور بے دیکھے خدائے رحمان سے ڈرے اُسے مغفرت اور اجر کریم کی بشارت دے دو

English - Sahih

You can only warn one who follows the message and fears the Most Merciful unseen. So give him good tidings of forgiveness and noble reward.

بے شک آپ اسی کو ڈرا سکتے ہیں جو نصیحت کی پیروی کرے اوربن دیکھے رحمان سے ڈرے پس خوشخبری دے دو اس کو بخشش اوراجر کی جو عزت والا ہے

Thou only warnest him who follows the Remembrance and who fears the All-merciful in the Unseen; so give him the good tidings of forgiveness and a generous wage.
