4:132

وَلِلَّهِ مَا فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَمَا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ ۗ وَلَقَدْ وَصَّيْنَا ٱلَّذِينَ أُوتُوا۟ ٱلْكِتَٰبَ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ وَإِيَّاكُمْ أَنِ ٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ ۚ وَإِن تَكْفُرُوا۟ فَإِنَّ لِلَّهِ مَا فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَمَا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ ۚ وَكَانَ ٱللَّهُ غَنِيًّا حَمِيدًا

English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ^ra

And to Allah belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth. And We have assuredly commanded those who were given the Book before you, and commanded you also, to fear Allah. But if you disbelieve, then remember that to Allah belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth, and Allah is Self-Sufficient, Praiseworthy.

اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ

اور اللہ ہی کا ہے جو آسمانوں میں ہے اور جو زمین میں ہے۔ اور یقیناً ہم نے ان لوگوں کو جن کو تم سے پہلے کتاب دی گئی تھی تاکیدی حکم دیا تھا اور خود تمہیں بھی کہ اللہ کا تقویٰ اختیار کرو۔ اور اگر تم کفر کرو تو یقیناً اللہ ہی کا ہے جو آسمانوں میں ہے اور جو زمین میں ہے اور اللہ غنی (اور) صاحبِ حمد ہے۔

French

Et à Allāh appartiennent tout ce qui est dans les cieux et tout ce qui est sur la terre. Et Nous avons assurément commandé à ceux à qui le Livre a été donné avant vous, et Nous vous l’avons aussicommandé, de craindre Allāh. Mais si vous ne croyez pas, alors souvenez-vous que certainement tout ce qui est aux cieux et tout ce qui est sur la terre appartiennent à Allāh, et Allāh Se suffit à Lui-Même et est Digne de louange.

German

Allahs ist, was in den Himmeln und was auf Erden ist. Und Wir haben jenen, denen vor euch die Schrift gegeben wurde, und euch selbst auf die Seele gebunden, Allah zu fürchten. Wenn ihr jedoch ablehnt, dann ist Allahs, was in den Himmeln und was auf Erden ist; und Allah ist Sich Selbst genügend, preiswürdig.

[a]凡在天地之间者, 都归安拉。[b]我确曾嘱咐在你们之前已受赐经典的人和你们, 说: “要敬畏安拉! 如果你们不信, 那么, (要记着,) 凡在天地之间者, 都归安拉。安拉是自足的, 值得赞扬的。”

Italian

E ad Allah appartiene tutto ciò che è nei cieli e tutto ciò che è sulla terra. E noi invero abbiamo ingiunto a tutti coloro ai quali è stato dato il libro prima di voi, e abbiamo ingiunto a voi pure, di temere Allah. Ma se sarete miscredenti, allora ricordate che ad Allah appartiene tutto ciò che è nei cieli e tutto ciò che è sulla terra, e Allah è l'Autosufficiente, il Lodevole.

Spanish

Y a Al-lah pertenece cuanto hay en los cielos y en la tierra. Y tanto a quienes se les entregó el Libro antes que a vosotros, como a vosotros mismos, os hemos ordenado temer a Al-lah. Pero si dejáis de creer, recordad que a Al-lah pertenece cuanto hay en los cielos y en la tierra, y Al-lah es Autosuficiente, Loable.

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

اور جو کچھ آسمانوں میں ہے اور جو کچھ زمین میں ہے (سب) اللہ ہی کا ہے اور جن لوگوں کو تم سے پہلے کتاب دی گئی تھی ہم نے انہیں (بھی) اور تمہیں (بھی) تاکیدی حکم دیا (ہوا) ہے کہ اللہ کا تقویٰ اختیار کرو۔ اور اگر تم انکار کرو گے تو (یاد رکھو کہ) جو کچھ آسمانوں میں ہے اور جو کچھ زمین میں ہے (سب) اللہ ہی کا ہے اور اللہ بے نیاز (اور) ان گنت تعریفوں کا مستحق ہے۔

English - Short Commentary Translation

And [c]to Allah belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth. And [d]We have assuredly commanded those who were given the Book before you and commanded you also to fear Allah. But if you disbelieve, then remember that to Allah belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth, and Allah is Self-Sufficient, Praiseworthy.

And [a]to Allah belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth. And [b]We have assuredly commanded those who were given the Book before you, and commanded you also, to fear Allah. But if you disbelieve, then remember that to Allah belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth, and Allah is Self-Sufficient, Praiseworthy.[597]

Important Words:

حمید (Praiseworthy) is derived from حمد which means, he praised or eulogized him; or he praised him for something depending on the latter’s will. Thus the describing of a pearl as lustrous is not حمد but مدح (see also 1:2). حمید or محمود with which it is almost synonymous, means, praised, eulogized or commended; praise-worthy or laudable. الحمید which is one of the names of God, means, He Who is praised or is praiseworthy in every case (Lane).

اردو ترجمہ مودودی

آسمانوں اور زمین میں جو کچھ ہے سب اللہ ہی کا ہے تم سے پہلے جن کو ہم نے کتاب دی تھی انہیں بھی یہی ہدایت کی تھی اور اب تم کو بھی یہی ہدایت کرتے ہیں کہ خدا سے ڈرتے ہوئے کام کرو لیکن اگر تم نہیں مانتے تو نہ مانو، آسمان و زمین کی ساری چیزوں کا مالک اللہ ہی ہے اور وہ بے نیاز ہے، ہر تعریف کا مستحق

English - Sahih

And to Allah belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. And We have instructed those who were given the Scripture before you and yourselves to fear Allah. But if you disbelieve - then to Allah belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. And ever is Allah Free of need and Praiseworthy.

اور جو کچھ اسمانوں اور جو کچھ زمین میں ہے وہ الله ہی کا ہے اور ہم نے پہلی کتاب والوں کو اور تمہیں حکم دیا ہے کہ الله سے ڈرو اور اگر ناشکری کرو گے تو جو کچھ آسمانو ں میں ہے اور جو کچھ زمین میں ہے سب الله ہی کا ہے اور الله بے پرواہ تعریف کیا ہواہے

And for Allah (is) whatever (is) in the heavens and whatever (is) in the earth. And surely We have instructed those who were given the Book from before you and yourselves that you fear Allah. English - Arberry

To God belongs all that is in the heavens and in the earth. We have charged those who were given the Book before you, and you, 'Fear God.' If you disbelieve, to God belongs all that is in the heavens and in the earth; God is All-sufficient, All-laudable.

English - Maududi

All that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth belongs to Allah. We enjoined upon those who were given the Book before you, and also yourselves, to have fear of Allah. But if you disbelieve, then bear in mind that all that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth belongs to Allah. Allah is Self-Sufficient, Most Praiseworthy.

All that is in the heavens and the earth belongs to God. We had commanded those who received the Book before you, and have commanded you too, to obey the laws of God. Even if you deny, surely all that is in the heavens and the earth belongs to God; and God is self-sufficient and praise-worthy.

Unto Allah belongeth whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever is in the earth. And We charged those who received the Scripture before you, and (We charge) you, that ye keep your duty toward Allah. And if ye disbelieve, lo! unto Allah belongeth whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever is in the earth, and Allah is ever Absolute, Owner of Praise.
