40:66

ہُوَ الۡحَیُّ لَاۤ اِلٰہَ اِلَّا ہُوَ فَادۡعُوۡہُ مُخۡلِصِیۡنَ لَہُ الدِّیۡنَ ۗ اَلۡحَمۡدُ لِلّٰہِ رَبِّ الۡعٰلَمِیۡنَ

English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ^ra

He is the Living God. There is no God but He. So pray unto Him, being sincere to Him in religion. All praise belongs to Allah, the Lord of the worlds.

اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ

وہی زندہ ہے اس کے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں پس اُسی کے لئے دین کو خالص کرتے ہوئے اُسے پکارو۔ کامل تعریف اللہ ہی کے لئے ہے جو تمام جہانوں کا ربّ ہے۔

French

Il est le Dieu Vivant. Il n’y a de dieu que Lui. Suppliez-Le donc, étant sincères dans votre foi à Son égard. Toutes les louanges appartiennent à Allāh, le Seigneur des mondes.

German

Er ist der Lebendige. Es gibt keinen Gott außer Ihm. So rufet Ihn an, in lauterem Gehorsam gegen Ihn. Aller Preis gehört Allah, dem Herrn der Welten.

Chinese

他是有生命 (且赐予生命) 的(主宰)。除他以外, 再没有值得崇拜的对象。[d]所以你们要对安拉具有真挚地服从精神而呼求他。一切赞颂都归安拉, 所有世界的养主。

39:12; 98:6.

Italian

Egli è il Dio Vivente. Non c'è altro Dio all'infuori di Lui. PregateLo, dunque, con sincerità di fede verso di Lui. Ogni lode appartiene ad Allah, il Signore dei mondi.

Spanish

Él es el Dios Vivo. No hay Dios sino Él. Rogadle, pues, siendo sinceros ante Él en la religión. Toda alabanza corresponde a Al-lah, el Señor de los mundos.

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

وہ زندہ (اور دوسروں کو زندگی دینے والا) ہے۔ اس کے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں‘ اور اللہ کے لئے عبادت[1] کو خالص کرتے ہوئے اس کو پکارو‘ سب تعریف اللہ ہی کی ہے جو سب جہانوں کا رب ہے۔

عربی کے الفاظ کے لحاظ سے یہاں ضمیر استعمال ہونی چاہیے مگر چونکہ پہلے اللہ کا ذکر گذر چکا ہے اور اردو میں مضمون واضح نہیں ہوتا ہم نے اس جگہ اللہ کا لفظ کھول کر لکھ دیا ہے اور اس کے بعد ضمیر ہی رہنے دی ہے یہ صرف عربی اور اردو کے طریق بیان کا فرق ہے۔

English - Short Commentary Translation

He is the Living God. There is no god but He. [b]So pray unto Him, devoting your worship wholly and sincerely to Him. All praise belongs to Allah, the Lord of the worlds.

اردو ترجمہ مودودی

وہی زندہ ہے اُس کے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں اُسی کو تم پکارو اپنے دین کو اس کے لیے خالص کر کے ساری تعریف اللہ ربّ العالمین ہی کے لیے ہے

English - Sahih

He is the Ever-Living; there is no deity except Him, so call upon Him, [being] sincere to Him in religion. [All] praise is [due] to Allah, Lord of the worlds.

وہی ہمیشہ زندہ ہے اس کے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں پس اسی کو پکارو خاص اسی کی بندگی کرتے ہوئے سب تعریف الله کے لیے ہے جو سارے جہان کا پالنے والا ہے

English - Arberry

He is the Living One; there is no god but He. So call upon Him, making your religion His sincerely. Praise belongs to God, the Lord of all Being.

He is the Ever-Living: there is no god but He. So call upon Him, consecrating to Him all your devotion. All praise and thanks be to Allah, the Lord of the whole Universe.
