۞ اِلَیۡہِ یُرَدُّ عِلۡمُ السَّاعَۃِ ۚ وَمَا تَخۡرُجُ مِنۡ ثَمَرٰتٍ مِّنۡ اَکۡمَامِہَا وَمَا تَحۡمِلُ مِنۡ اُنۡثٰی وَلَا تَضَعُ اِلَّا بِعِلۡمِہٖ ۚ وَیَوۡمَ یُنَادِیۡہِمۡ اَیۡنَ شُرَکَآءِیۡ قَالُوۡۤا اٰذَنّٰکَ مَا مِنَّا مِنۡ شَہِیۡدٍ

English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ^ra

To Him alone is referred the knowledge of the Hour. And no fruits come forth from their spathes, nor does any female bear a child, nor does she give birth to it, but with His knowledge. And on the day when He will call unto them, saying, “Where are My ‘Partners’?” they will say, ‘We declare unto Thee, not one of us is a witness thereto.’

ساعت کا علم اسی کی طرف لوٹایا جاتا ہے۔ اور بعض قسموں کے پھل اپنے غلافوں سے نہیں نکلتے۔ نہ ہی کوئی مادہ حاملہ ہوتی ہے اور نہ بچہ جنتی ہے مگر اس کے علم کے مطابق۔ اور یاد کرو اُس دن کو جب وہ بآواز بلند ان سے پوچھے گا کہ میرے شریک کہاں ہیں؟ تو وہ کہیں گے ہم تجھے مطّلع کرتے ہیں کہ ہم میں سے کوئی بھی گواہ نہیں۔

French

C’est à Lui Seul qu’appartient la connaissance réelle de l’Heure. Et aucun fruit ne sort de sa spathe, et aucune femelle ne conçoit ni n’accouche, sans qu’Il le sache. Et pensez au jour où Il les appellera, en disant : « Où se trouvent Mes ‘ soi-disant’ associés ? » ils répondront : « Nous Te déclarons que pas un d’entre nous n’en est témoin. »

German

Ihm allein ist das Wissen um die "Stunde" vorbehalten. Keine Früchte kommen aus ihren Hüllen hervor, und kein Weib empfängt oder gebiert, wenn nicht mit Seinem Wissen. Und an dem Tage, da Er ihnen zurufen wird: "Wo sind Meine Nebengötter?", da werden sie sprechen: "Wir gestehen Dir, keiner von uns ist Zeuge."

复生日的知识 (只) 是与安拉有关系的。果实的出自花扎, [a]女性的怀孕、分娩, 都是他知道的。[1192]在那天, 他将问他们: [b]“(你们妄称的) 与我同等的 (崇拜) 对象在那里?” 他们将说: “我们对你声明, 我们没有一个 (对这事) 是作证的。”

Italian

A Lui soltanto appartiene la conoscenza dell'Ora. E non c'è frutto che esca dal suo involucro, o donna che concepisca un bimbo, o che lo partorisca, senza che Lui lo sappia. E pensa al giorno in cui Egli li interpellerà, dicendo: «Dove sono i compagni che Mi attribuivate?» Quelli risponderanno: «Dichiariamo davanti a Te che nessuno di noi ne è testimone.»

Spanish

A Él sólo concierne el conocimiento de la Hora. Ningún fruto sale de su envoltura, ni hembra alguna concibe a un niño , ni lo da a luz, si no es con Su conocimiento. Y pensad en el día en que les convocará, diciéndoles: “¿Dónde están los partícipes que Me atribuís?” Responderán: “Te aseguramos que no hay nadie de nosotros que sea testigo de ello”.

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

قیامت کا علم اسی کی طرف لوٹایا جاتا ہے (یعنی قیامت کا کامل علم اسی کو حاصل ہے) اور گابھوں میں سے (بھی) کوئی پھل نہیں نکلتے اور عورتیں بھی اپنے پیٹ میں کچھ نہیں اٹھاتیں اور نہ جنتی ہیں مگر وہ اللہ کو معلوم ہوتا ہے جس دن وہ لوگوں کو پکارے گا اور کہے گا کہاں ہیں میرے شریک؟ وہ کہیں گے ہم نے تجھے کھول کر کہہ دیا ہے‘ کہ ہم میں سے کوئی اس بات کا گواہ نہیں۔

English - Short Commentary Translation

To Him alone is referred the knowledge of the Hour. And no fruits come forth from their spathes, [c]nor does any female bear a child, nor does she give birth to it, but with His knowledge.[2640] And on the day when He will call unto them, saying, [a]‘Where are My partners?’ They will say, ‘We declare unto Thee, not one of us is a witness thereto.’

God alone knows how the seed that the Holy Prophet has sown in the soil of Arabia would grow, and what kinds of fruit it would bear. If the fruits were rotten they would be destroyed, but if they were wholesome and delicious they would be preserved with care.

English - Five Volume Translation

To Him alone is referred the knowledge of the Hour. And no fruits come forth from their spathes, [b]nor does any female bear a child, nor does she give birth to it, but with His knowledge. And on the day when He will call unto them, saying, [c]“Where are My ‘partners’?” they will say, ‘We declare unto Thee, not one of us is a witness thereto.’[3595]

Commentary:

The "Hour" signifying the hour of the disbelievers’ doom, the verse means to say that God alone knows how the seed that the Holy Prophet has sown in the soil of Arabia would grow, and what kinds of fruit it would bear. If the fruits were rotten they would be destroyed but if they were wholesome and delicious they would be preserved with care, i.e. God alone knows whether the future Arab generations would accept or reject Islam, because on their attitude towards the new Faith would depend their salvation or destruction. The verse also seems to imply a prophecy that idolatry would completely disappear from Arabia and the future generations of the disbelieving Quraish would accept Islam.

اردو ترجمہ مودودی

اُس ساعت کا علم اللہ ہی کی طرف راجع ہوتا ہے، وہی اُن سارے پھلوں کو جانتا ہے جو اپنے شگوفوں میں سے نکلتے ہیں، اسی کو معلوم ہے کہ کونسی مادہ حاملہ ہوئی ہے اور کس نے بچہ جنا ہے پھر جس روز وہ اِن لوگوں کو پکارے گا کہ کہاں ہیں میرے وہ شریک؟ یہ کہیں گے، "ہم عرض کر چکے ہیں، آج ہم میں سے کوئی اِس کی گواہی دینے والا نہیں ہے"

English - Sahih

To him [alone] is attributed knowledge of the Hour. And fruits emerge not from their coverings nor does a female conceive or give birth except with His knowledge. And the Day He will call to them, "Where are My 'partners'?" they will say, "We announce to You that there is [no longer] among us any witness [to that]."

قیامت کی خبرکا اسی کی طرف حوالہ دیا جاتا ہے اور کوئی پھل اپنے غلافوں سے نہیں نکلتا اور نہ کوئی مادہ حاملہ ہوتی ہے اور نہ وضح حمل کرتی ہے مگر اس کے علم سے اور جس دن انہیں پکارے گا کہ میرے شریک کہاں ہیں کہیں گے ہم نے آپ سے عرض کر دیا کہ ہم میں سے کسی کو بھی خبر نہیں

English - Talal Itani

To Him is referred (the) knowledge (of) the Hour. And not comes out any fruits from their coverings, and not bears any female and not gives birth except with His knowledge. And (the) Day He will call them, "Where (are) My partners?" They will say, "We announce (to) You, not among us any witness."

To Him is referred the knowledge of the Hour. Not a fruit comes forth from its sheath, no female bears or brings forth, save with His knowledge. Upon the day when He shall call to them, 'Where now are My associates?' they shall say, 'We proclaim to Thee, there is not a witness among us.

English - Maududi

The knowledge of the Hour rests solely with Him. Not a fruit comes forth from its sheath, nor does any female conceive nor give birth to a child but it is in His knowledge. On that Day He will call out to them: “Where are those associates of Mine?” They will answer: “We have declared to You that none of us can bear witness to that.”

English - Ahmed Ali

He alone has knowledge of the Hour (of change): No fruit comes Out of its spathe, no female conceives or gives birth, but He has knowledge of it. The day He will call them (and ask): "Where are the compeers (you ascribed to Me)?" They will answer: "We profess to You not one of us can vouch for them."

English - Yusuf Ali

To Him is referred the Knowledge of the Hour (of Judgment: He knows all): No date-fruit comes out of its sheath, nor does a female conceive (within her womb) nor bring forth the Day that (Allah) will propound to them the (question), "Where are the partners (ye attributed to Me?" They will say, "We do assure thee not one of us can bear witness!"

And on the day when He calleth unto them: Where are now My partners? they will say: We confess unto Thee, not one of us is a witness (for them).
