بَشِيرًا وَنَذِيرًا فَأَعْرَضَ أَكْثَرُهُمْ فَهُمْ لَا يَسْمَعُونَ

English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ^ra

A bringer of glad tidings and a warner. But most of them turn away and they hear not.

بشیر اور نذیر کے طور پر۔ پس اُن میں سے اکثر نے مُنہ پھیر لیا اور وہ سنتے نہیں۔

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

(نیکوں کو) خوشخبری دینے والی اور (بدوں کو) ہوشیار کرنے والی ہے۔ پھر (بھی) ان میں سے اکثر نے اعراض کیا اور وہ اس کے سننے کو بھی تیار نہیں۔

Commentary:

The verse means to say that the most distinctive feature of this most perspicuous of all Divine Books is that it gives a message of hope and good cheer to those who accept and follow it and warns disbelievers that they would meet with a sad fate, if they persisted in disbelief.

بشارت دینے والا اور ڈرا دینے والا مگر اِن لوگوں میں سے اکثر نے اس سے رو گردانی کی اور وہ سن کر نہیں دیتے
