46:19

اُولٰٓئِکَ الَّذِیۡنَ حَقَّ عَلَیۡہِمُ الۡقَوۡلُ فِیۡۤ اُمَمٍ قَدۡ خَلَتۡ مِنۡ قَبۡلِہِمۡ مِّنَ الۡجِنِّ وَالۡاِنۡسِ ۖ اِنَّہُمۡ کَانُوۡا خٰسِرِیۡنَ

English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ^ra

These are they against whom the sentence of punishment became due, along with the communities of the Jinn and mankind that had gone before them. Indeed, they were the losers.

اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ

یہی وہ لوگ ہیں جن پر وہ فرمان صادق آگیا جو ان سے پہلے جِن و انس میں سے گزری ہوئی قوموں پر صادق آیا تھا ۔ یقیناً یہ سب گھاٹا پانے والے لوگ ہیں۔

French

Ce sont ceux-là contre qui la condamnation au châtiment est venue à échéance tout comme, avec les communautés des djinns et des hommes qui les avaient devancés. En vérité, ils étaient les perdants.

German

So sind die, gegen welche der Spruch (der Strafe) fällig ward, zusammen mit den Scharen der Jinn und der Menschen, die vor ihnen hingingen. Fürwahr, sie sind die Verlierenden gewesen.

这些人就是对他们 (惩罚) 的预言业已实现了的, 他们[c]与他们之前逝去的那些精纳和人们的一些群体一类。的确, 他们都是损失者。

costui è uno di quelli contro i quali la sentenza di castigo è stata applicata, insieme alle comunità di Ğinn e di uomini che li avevano preceduti. In verità, erano dei perdenti.

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

ایسے ہی لوگ ہیں جن پر ان امتوں میں سے جو ان سے پہلے گذر چکی ہیں خواہ جنّوں[2] میں سے تھیں یا انسانوں میں سے عذاب کی پیشگوئی پوری ہوگئی۔ وہ لوگ گھاٹا پانے والے تھے۔

English - Short Commentary Translation

These are they against whom the sentence of punishment was fulfilled [a]along with the communities of the jinn and men that had gone before them. Indeed, they were the losers.

اردو ترجمہ مودودی

یہ وہ لوگ ہیں جن پر عذاب کا فیصلہ چسپاں ہو چکا ہے اِن سے پہلے جنوں اور انسانوں کے جو ٹولے (اِسی قماش کے) ہو گزرے ہیں اُنہی میں یہ بھی جا شامل ہوں گے بے شک یہ گھاٹے میں رہ جانے والے لوگ ہیں

English - Sahih

Those are the ones upon whom the word has come into effect, [who will be] among nations which had passed on before them of jinn and men. Indeed, they [all] were losers.

اردو ترجمہ احمد علی

یہ وہ لوگ ہیں کہ ان کے حق میں بھی ان لوگوں کے ساتھ الله کا قول پورا ہو کر رہا جو ان سے پہلے جن اور انسان ہوگزرے ہیں بے شک وہی خسارہ اٹھانے والے ہیں

English - Talal Itani

Those - (are) the ones (has) proved true against them the word among nations (that) already passed away before them of (the) jinn and the men. Indeed, they are (the) losers.

English - Arberry

such men are they against whom has been realized the Word concerning nations that passed away before them, men and jinn alike; they were losers.

It is against such that Allah's sentence (of punishment) has become due. They will join the communities of humans and jinn that have preceded them. Verily all of them will court utter loss.

They are those on whom the sentence of God would be justified as on communities of jinns and men before them. They will surely perish.

Such are they against whom is proved the sentence among the previous generations of Jinns and men, that have passed away; for they will be (utterly) lost.
