إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ يُنَادُونَكَ مِن وَرَآءِ ٱلْحُجُرَٰتِ أَكْثَرُهُمْ لَا يَعْقِلُونَ

English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ^ra

Those who shout out to thee from without thy private apartments — most of them lack understanding.

اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ

یقیناً وہ لوگ جو تجھے گھروں کے باہر سے آوازیں دیتے ہیں اکثر ان میں سے عقل نہیں رکھتے۔

Ceux qui t’appellent à haute voix pendant qu’ils sont encore loin de ta demeure – la plupart d’entre eux sont dénués d’intelligence.

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

وہ لوگ جو کمروں کی دیواروں کے پیچھے سے تجھے آوازیں دیتے ہیں‘ ان میں سے اکثر بیوقوف ہیں۔

English - Short Commentary Translation

Those who call out to thee from without thy private apartments—most of them have no sense.[2790]

Calling out to the Prophet in a loud voice from outside his house amounts to intruding upon his privacy and shows lack of respect for his person and his valuable time; and only an ill-mannered person would be guilty of such foolish behaviour.

English - Five Volume Translation

Those who shout out to thee from without thy private apartments—most of them lack understanding.[3844]

Commentary:

Calling out to the Prophet in a loud voice from outside his house amounts to intruding upon his privacy and shows lack of respect for his person and for his valuable time; and only an ill-mannered person would be guilty of such foolish behaviour.

اے نبیؐ، جو لوگ تمہیں حجروں کے باہر سے پکارتے ہیں ان میں سے اکثر بے عقل ہیں

Indeed, those who call you, [O Muhammad], from behind the chambers - most of them do not use reason.
