اِنۡ تُعَذِّبۡہُمۡ فَاِنَّہُمۡ عِبَادُکَ ۖ وَاِنۡ تَغۡفِرۡ لَہُمۡ فَاِنَّکَ اَنۡتَ الۡعَزِیۡزُ الۡحَکِیۡمُ

“If Thou punish them, they are Thy servants; and if Thou forgive them, Thou surely art the Mighty, the Wise.”

اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ

اگر تُو انہیں عذاب دے تو آخر یہ تیرے بندے ہیں اور اگر تو انہیں معاف کر دے تو یقیناً تُو کامل غلبہ والا (اور) حکمت والا ہے۔

French

Si Tu les châties, ils sont Tes serviteurs ; et si Tu leur pardonnes, Tu es en vérité le Puissant, le Sage. »

German

Wenn Du sie strafst, sie sind Deine Diener, und wenn Du ihnen verzeihst, Du bist wahrlich der Allmächtige, der Allweise.»

“假如你要惩罚他们, 那他们是你的仆人; 假如你要宽恕他们, 那你是最优胜的, 至明哲的。”

Italian

Se Tu li punisci, essi sono i Tuoi servi; e se Tu li perdoni, Tu certamente sei il Potente, il Saggio.»

Spanish

“Si Tú los castigas, siervos tuyos son; y si Tú los perdonas, ciertamente eres el Poderoso, el Sabio”.

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

اگر تو انہیں عذاب دینا چاہے تو وہ تیرے بندے ہیں اور اگر تو انہیں بخشنا چاہے تو تو بہت غالب (اور) بڑی حکمتوں والا (خدا) ہے۔

English - Short Commentary Translation

“If Thou punish them, they are Thy servants; and if Thou forgive them, Thou surely art the Mighty, the Wise.”

English - Five Volume Translation

“If Thou punish them, they are Thy servants; and if Thou forgive them, Thou surely art the Mighty, the Wise.”[746]

Commentary:

This verse constitutes a most pathetic appeal by Jesus to God on behalf of his followers; and the succeeding verse provides the divine answer to the appeal.

اردو ترجمہ مودودی

اب اگر آپ انہیں سزا دیں تو وہ آپ کے بندے ہیں اور اگر معاف کر دیں تو آپ غالب اور دانا ہیں"

English - Sahih

If You should punish them - indeed they are Your servants; but if You forgive them - indeed it is You who is the Exalted in Might, the Wise.

اگر تو انہیں عذاب دے تو وہ تیرے ہی بندے ہیں اور اگر تو انہیں معاف کر دے تو تو ہی زبردست حکمت والا ہے

If You punish them, then indeed they (are) Your slaves, and if You forgive [for] them then indeed You, You (are) the All-Mighty, the All-Wise."
