قَالَ ٱللَّهُ هَٰذَا يَوْمُ يَنفَعُ ٱلصَّٰدِقِينَ صِدْقُهُمْ ۚ لَهُمْ جَنَّٰتٌ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهَا ٱلْأَنْهَٰرُ خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَآ أَبَدًا ۚ رَّضِىَ ٱللَّهُ عَنْهُمْ وَرَضُوا۟ عَنْهُ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ ٱلْفَوْزُ ٱلْعَظِيمُ

English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ^ra

Allah will say, ‘This is a day when only the truthful shall profit by their truthfulness. For them are Gardens beneath which streams flow; therein shall they abide for ever. Allah is well pleased with them, and they are well pleased with Him; that indeed is the great triumph.’

اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ

اللہ نے کہا یہ وہ دن ہے کہ سچوں کو ان کا سچ فائدہ پہنچانے والا ہے۔ ان کے لئے جنّتیں ہیں جن کے دامن میں نہریں بہتی ہیں۔ ان میں وہ ہمیشہ ہمیش رہنے والے ہیں۔ اللہ ان سے راضی ہو گیا اور وہ اس سے راضی ہو گئے۔ یہ بہت بڑی کامیابی ہے۔

French

Allāh dira : « Voilà le jour où seuls les hommes véridiques profiteront de leur véracité. Pour eux, il y aura des Jardins sous lesquels coulent des ruisseaux ; ils y demeureront à perpétuité. Allāh est satisfait d’eux, et ils sont satisfaits de Lui ; c’est là le triomphe suprême. »

German

Allah wird sprechen: "Das ist ein Tag, an dem den Wahrhaftigen ihre Wahrhaftigkeit frommen soll. Für sie sind Gärten, durch die Ströme fließen; darin sollen sie weilen ewig und immerdar. Allah hat an ihnen Wohlgefallen, und sie haben Wohlgefallen an Ihm; das ist die große Glückseligkeit."

Chinese

安拉说: “在这个日子里, 诚实人的诚实将给他们带来益处, 他们将享受诸河川流不息的天园, 他们将永居其中。[a]安拉对他们满意, 他们也对安拉满意; 这是极大的成功。

Allah dirà: «Questo è il giorno in cui i veritieri trarranno vantaggio dalla loro sincerità. Per loro sono i giardini a valle dei quali scorrono ruscelli; là essi dimoreranno per sempre. Allah è molto contento di loro ed essi sono molto contenti di Lui; questo è davvero il grande trionfo.»

Spanish

Al-lah dirá: “Éste es el día en el que sólo los veraces se beneficiarán de su veracidad. Para ellos hay Jardines por los que corren ríos; en ellos morarán para siempre. Al-lah se complacerá con ellos, y ellos con Él; en verdad, ése es el gran triunfo”.

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

اللہ نے فرمایا‘ یہ دن (ایسا) ہے جس میں صادقوں کو ان کی سچائی نفع دے گی۔ ان کو ایسے باغات ملیں گے جن کے نیچے نہریں بہتی ہوں گے۔ وہ ان میں ہمیشہ رہتے چلے جائیں گے۔ اللہ ان سے راضی ہوا اور وہ اس سے راضی ہوئے (اور) یہ (ایک) بہت بڑی کامیابی ہے۔

English - Short Commentary Translation

Allah will say, ‘This is a day when only the truthful shall profit by their truthfulness. For them are Gardens beneath which streams flow; therein shall they abide for ever. Allah is [b]well pleased with them, and they are well pleased with Him; that indeed is the supreme achievement.’

English - Five Volume Translation

Allah will say, ‘This is a day when only the truthful shall profit by their truthfulness. For them are Gardens beneath which streams flow; therein shall they abide forever. [a]Allah is well pleased with them, and they are well pleased with Him; that indeed is the great triumph.’[747]

Commentary:

The words, This is a day, refer to the Day of Judgement, which shows that the question mentioned in 5:117 above will be put to Jesus on the Day of Judgement, i.e. after he will have paid his supposed second visit to the earth, as is alleged by those who believe in his ascension to, and descent from, heaven.

The word "truthful" used in the verse hints that as the followers of Jesus did not prove truthful, they could not hope to benefit from Divine mercy. The word really refers to Muslims, who were true to the teachings of their Prophet. They believed as he taught them to believe, and acted as he taught them to act, and were true to their God. The word may also refer to the followers of Ahmad, the Promised Messiah, who was raised as the مثیل, or likeness, of Jesus. God, as it were, says, "We sent two Messiahs, the followers of the one drifted away from his teachings and began to look upon him as God, but the followers of the other Messiah were true to his teachings. So this day only the truth of the truthful shall profit them."

اردو ترجمہ مودودی

تب اللہ فرمائے گا "یہ وہ دن ہے جس میں سچوں کو اُن کی سچائی نفع دیتی ہے، ان کے لیے ایسے باغ ہیں جن کے نیچے نہریں بہہ رہی ہیں، یہاں وہ ہمیشہ رہیں گے، اللہ ان سے راضی ہوا اور وہ اللہ سے، یہی بڑی کامیابی ہے"

English - Sahih

Allah will say, "This is the Day when the truthful will benefit from their truthfulness." For them are gardens [in Paradise] beneath which rivers flow, wherein they will abide forever, Allah being pleased with them, and they with Him. That is the great attainment.

اردو ترجمہ احمد علی

الله فرمائے گا یہ وہ دن ہے جس میں سچوں کو ان کا سچ کام آئے گا ان کے لیے باغ ہیں جن کے نیچے نہریں بہتی ہیں ان میں سے ہمیشہ رہنے والے ہوں گے ان سے الله راضی ہوا اور وہ اس سے راضی ہوئے یہی بڑی کامیابی ہے

English - Talal Itani

Will say Allah, "This Day will profit the truthful their truthfulness." For them (are) Gardens flows from underneath it the rivers will abide in it forever." is pleased Allah with them and they are pleased with Him. That (is) the success, (the) great.

God said, 'This is the day the truthful shall be profited by their truthfulness. For them await gardens underneath which rivers flow, therein dwelling forever and ever; God being well-pleased with them and they well-pleased with Him; that is the mighty triumph.'

English - Maududi

Thereupon Allah will say: 'This day truthfulness shall profit the truthful. For them are Gardens beneath which rivers flow. There they will abide for ever. Allah is well- pleased with them, and they well-pleased with Allah. That indeed is the mighty triumph.'

English - Ahmed Ali

God will say: 'This is the day when the truthful shall profit by their truthfulness. For them will be gardens with streams running by, where they will for ever abide." God will accept them, and they will be gratified in (obeying) Him. This will surely be happiness supreme.

English - Yusuf Ali

Allah will say: "This is a day on which the truthful will profit from their truth: theirs are gardens, with rivers flowing beneath,- their eternal Home: Allah well-pleased with them, and they with Allah: That is the great salvation, (the fulfilment of all desires).

Allah saith: This is a day in which their truthfulness profiteth the truthful, for theirs are Gardens underneath which rivers flow, wherein they are secure for ever, Allah taking pleasure in them and they in Him. That is the great triumph.
