53:31

ذٰلِکَ مَبۡلَغُہُمۡ مِّنَ الۡعِلۡمِ ۚ اِنَّ رَبَّکَ ہُوَ اَعۡلَمُ بِمَنۡ ضَلَّ عَنۡ سَبِیۡلِہٖ وَہُوَ اَعۡلَمُ بِمَنِ اہۡتَدٰی

English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ^ra

That is the utmost limit of their knowledge. Verily, thy Lord knows him best who strays from His way, and He knows him best who follows guidance.

اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ

یہی ان کے علم کا کل سرمایہ ہے ۔ یقیناً تیرا ربّ ہی ہے جو سب سے زیادہ اسے جانتا ہے جو اُس کے رستے سے گمراہ ہوگیا ۔ اور وہ سب سے زیادہ اُسے جانتا ہے جو ہدایت پاگیا۔

French

C’est là la limite extrême de leurs connaissances. En vérité, ton Seigneur connaît le mieux celui qui s’égare de Son chemin, et Il connaît le mieux celui qui suit la bonne direction.

Das ist die Summe ihres Wissens. Wahrlich, dein Herr kennt den recht wohl, der von Seinem Wege abirrt, und Er kennt auch jenen wohl, der den Weg befolgt.

那是他们知识的极限。你的养主最知那迷失他的道路的人, 也最知[a]那遵循正道的人。

È questo il massimo della loro conoscenza. In verità, il tuo Signore conosce al meglio chi si allontana dal Suo cammino, e conosce al meglio chi segue la guida.

Esto es a lo más que llega su conocimiento. En verdad, tu Señor conoce muy bien a quien se extravía de Su camino, y conoce muy bien a quien sigue la guía.

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

یہ ان لوگوں کے علم کی انتہا ہے۔ تیرا رب یقیناً اس شخص کو خوب جانتا ہے جو اس کے راستہ سے بھٹک جاتا ہے اور اس کو بھی خوب جانتا ہے۔ جو سیدھے راستے کو اختیار کر لیتا ہے۔

English - Short Commentary Translation

That is the utmost limit of their knowledge. Verily, thy Lord knows best him who strays away from His way, and He knows best him [b]who follows guidance.

That is the utmost limit of their knowledge. Verily, thy Lord knows best him who strays from His way, and He knows him best who follows guidance.[a] [3987]

Commentary:

The words of the verse seem to have been spoken ironically or by way of reproach. The utmost limit of the knowledge of disbelievers (the verse purports to say) is that they worship gods, which can do them no good nor can they injure them, in preference to God the Almighty, to Whom belongs whatever is in the heavens and the earth and Who has created all things for the service of man. Moreover their strivings are confined to the acquirement of material things of this life and they have no thought for the Hereafter.

اردو ترجمہ مودودی

اِن لوگوں کا مبلغ علم بس یہی کچھ ہے، یہ بات تیرا رب ہی زیادہ جانتا ہے کہ اُس کے راستے سے کون بھٹک گیا ہے اور کون سیدھے راستے پر ہے

English - Sahih

That is their sum of knowledge. Indeed, your Lord is most knowing of who strays from His way, and He is most knowing of who is guided.

اردو ترجمہ احمد علی

ان کی سمجھ کی یہیں تک رسائی ہے بے شک آپ کا رب اس کو خوب جانتا ہے جو اس کے راستہ سے بہکا اور اس کو بھی خوب جانتا ہے جو راہ پر آیا

That (is) their sum of knowledge. Indeed, your Lord (is) He (Who) knows best (he) who strays from His Path, and He knows best (he) who is guided.

English - Arberry

That is their attainment of knowledge. Surely thy Lord knows very well those who have gone astray from His way, and He knows very well those who are guided.

English - Maududi

that being the utmost of their knowledge. Surely your Lord fully knows those who have strayed away from His Path and He also fully knows those who are rightly guided.

English - Ahmed Ali

This is the farthest limit of their knowledge. Surely your Lord alone knows best who has strayed away from the path and who has come to guidance.

That is as far as knowledge will reach them. Verily thy Lord knoweth best those who stray from His Path, and He knoweth best those who receive guidance.
