يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ ٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَءَامِنُوا۟ بِرَسُولِهِۦ يُؤْتِكُمْ كِفْلَيْنِ مِن رَّحْمَتِهِۦ وَيَجْعَل لَّكُمْ نُورًا تَمْشُونَ بِهِۦ وَيَغْفِرْ لَكُمْ ۚ وَٱللَّهُ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ

English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ^ra

O ye who believe! fear Allah and believe in His Messenger; He will give you a double share of His mercy, and will provide for you a light wherein you will walk, and will grant you forgiveness — and verily Allah is Most Forgiving, Merciful —

اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ

اے لوگو جو ایمان لائے ہو! اللہ کا تقویٰ اختیار کرو اور اس کے رسول پر ایمان لاؤ وہ تمہیں اپنی رحمت میں سے دُہرا حصہ دے گا اور تمہیں ایک نور عطا کرے گا جس کے ساتھ تم چلو گے اور تمہیں بخش دے گا اور اللہ بہت بخشنے والا (اور) بار بار رحم کرنے والا ہے۔

Ô vous qui croyez ! Craignez Allāh et croyez en Son Messager ; Il vous donnera une double part de Sa miséricorde, et vous accordera une lumière dans laquelle vous marcherez, et Il vous pardonnera – et Allāh est Très-Pardonnant, Miséricordieux –

O voi che credete! Temete Allah e credete nel Suo messaggero. Egli vi darà doppia porzione della Sua misericordia e vi fornirà una luce in cui camminerete, e vi concederà il perdono. In verità. Allah è Colui che sommamente perdona, il Misericordioso.

¡Oh vosotros, los creyentes! Temed a Al-lah y creed en Su Mensajero; Él os dará una doble porción de Su misericordia y os proporcionará una luz con la que caminaréis, y os concederá el perdón –pues en verdad Al-lah es el Sumo Indulgente, el Misericordioso-.

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

اے ایمان والو! اللہ کا تقویٰ اختیار کرو اور اس کے رسول پر ایمان لاؤ۔ تب تم کو اللہ اپنی رحمت سے دوہرا حصہ دے گا اور تمہارے لئے نور مقرر کر دے گا جس کی مدد سے تم چلو گے اور تمہارے گناہ معاف کرے گا اور اللہ بڑا بخشنے والا (اور) بے انتہا کرم کرنے والا ہے۔

English - Short Commentary Translation

O ye who believe! fear Allah and believe in His Messenger. He will give you a double portion of His mercy, and will provide for you a light wherein you will walk, and will grant you forgiveness—verily, Allah is Most Forgiving, Merciful—

English - Five Volume Translation

O ye who believe! fear Allah and believe in His Messenger; He will give you a double portion of His mercy, and will provide for you a light wherein you will walk, and will grant you forgiveness—and verily Allah is Most Forgiving, Merciful—[4169]

Commentary:

As in the preceding verse the Christians were admonished for regarding a life of renunciation and flight from the world as an ideal, the Muslims in the present verse are told to devote as much care and attention to their mundane as to their spiritual affairs and to discharge the obligations they owe to their Creator and Lord with as much devotion as their obligations to their fellow beings, and that if they did so they would be granted the benefits and blessings of this life as well as those of the Hereafter. Elsewhere in the Quran, Muslims have been enjoined constantly to pray: "Our Lord, grant us good in this world as well as good in the world to come" (2:202).

اردو ترجمہ مودودی

اے لوگو جو ایمان لائے ہو، اللہ سے ڈرو اور اس کے رسولؐ پر ایمان لاؤ، اللہ تمہیں اپنی رحمت کا دوہرا حصہ عطا فرمائے گا اور تمہیں وہ نور بخشے گا جس کی روشنی میں تم چلو گے، اور تمہارے قصور معاف کر دے گا، اللہ بڑا معاف کرنے والا اور مہربان ہے

English - Sahih

O you who have believed, fear Allah and believe in His Messenger; He will [then] give you a double portion of His mercy and make for you a light by which you will walk and forgive you; and Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.

اردو ترجمہ احمد علی

اے ایمان والو الله سے ڈرو اور اس کے رسول پر ایمان لاؤ وہ تمہیں اپنی رحمت سے دوہرا حصہ دے گا اور تمہیں ایسا نورعطا کرے گا تم اس کے ذریعہ سے چلو اور تمہیں معاف کر دے گا اور الله بخشنے والا نہایت رحم ولا ہے

O you who believe! Fear Allah and believe in His Messenger; He will give you double portion of His Mercy and He will make for you a light, you will walk with it, and He will forgive you. And Allah (is) Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.
