كَمَثَلِ ٱلشَّيْطَٰنِ إِذْ قَالَ لِلْإِنسَٰنِ ٱكْفُرْ فَلَمَّا كَفَرَ قَالَ إِنِّى بَرِىٓءٌ مِّنكَ إِنِّىٓ أَخَافُ ٱللَّهَ رَبَّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ
English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ra
It is like that of Satan, when he says to man, ‘Disbelieve;’ but when he disbelieves, he says, ‘I have nothing to do with thee; I fear Allah, the Lord of the worlds.’
اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ
شیطان کی مثال کی طرح جب اس نے انسان سے کہا انکار کردے۔ پس جب اس نے انکار کردیا تو کہنے لگا کہ یقیناً میں تجھ سے بری الذمہ ہوں۔ یقیناً میں تو تمام جہانوں کے ربّ، اللہ سے ڈرتا ہوں۔
French
Ou c’est comme le cas de Satan, lorsqu’il dit à l’homme : « Ne crois pas. » Mais quand il est devenu mécréant, il dit : « Je n’ai rien à faire avec toi ; certainement je crains Allāh, le Seigneur des mondes. »

Gleich Satan, wenn er zu dem Menschen spricht: "Sei ungläubig!"; ist er aber ungläubig, so spricht er: "Ich habe nichts mit dir zu schaffen, denn ich fürchte Allah, den Herrn der Welten."

Es como ocurre con Satanás, cuando dice al hombre: “No creas”, pero cuando deja de creer, dice: “No tengo nada que ver contigo; yo temo a Al-lah, el Señor de los mundos”.
اردو تفسیرِ صغیر
(۔نیز) ان (منافقوں) کی حالت شیطان کے ساتھ ملتی ہے جبکہ وہ انسان سے تو یہ کہہ دیتا ہے کہ کفر کر۔ لیکن جب وہ کفر کر بیٹھتا ہے تو (شیطان) اس سے کہتا ہے میں تجھ سے بری ہوں میں اللہ سے ڈرتا ہوں جو سب جہانوں کا رب ہے۔

Commentary:
The verse mentions one more mark of a hypocrite. When relying upon his seductive promises his victim gets involved in trouble, he leaves him alone, disowning all responsibility for his misfortune.

اِن کی مثال شیطان کی سی ہے کہ پہلے وہ انسان سے کہتا ہے کہ کفر کر، اور جب انسان کفر کر بیٹھتا ہے تو وہ کہتا ہے کہ میں تجھ سے بری الذمہ ہوں، مجھے تو اللہ رب العالمین سے ڈر لگتا ہے

[The hypocrites are] like the example of Satan when he says to man, "Disbelieve." But when he disbelieves, he says, "Indeed, I am disassociated from you. Indeed, I fear Allah, Lord of the worlds."
