59:5

ذٰلِکَ بِاَنَّہُمۡ شَآقُّوا اللّٰہَ وَرَسُوۡلَہٗ ۖ وَمَنۡ یُّشَآقِّ اللّٰہَ فَاِنَّ اللّٰہَ شَدِیۡدُ الۡعِقَابِ

English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ^ra

That is because they opposed Allah and His Messenger; and whoso opposes Allah — then surely Allah is Severe in retribution.

اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ

یہ اس وجہ سے ہے کہ انہوں نے اللہ اور اس کے رسول کی شدید مخالفت کی۔ اور جو اللہ کی مخالفت کرتا ہے تو یقینا اللہ سزا دینے میں بہت سخت ہے۔

French

C’est parce qu’ils se sont opposés à Allāh et à Son Messager ; et quiconque s’oppose à Allāh – alors sûrement Allāh est sévère en châtiment.

German

Dies, weil sie sich Allah widersetzten und Seinem Gesandten; und wer sich Allah widersetzt – wahrlich, dann ist Allah streng im Strafen.

Chinese

这是因为他们反对了安拉和他的使者; [e]凡是反对安拉者, (他应当记住,) 安拉的惩罚确是严厉的。

Italian

Questo perché s'opposero ad Allah e al Suo messaggero. E per chiunque si opponga ad Allah, è certo che Lui è Severo nella punizione.

Spanish

Eso por haberse opuesto a Al-lah y a Su Mensajero; pues quien se opone a Al-lah sepa que Al-lah es Severo en la retribución.

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

یہ سب کچھ اس لئے ہوا کہ انہوں نے اللہ اور اس کے رسول سے اختلاف کیا اور جو اللہ سے اختلاف کرتا ہے وہ یاد رکھے کہ اللہ کا عذاب یقیناً سخت ہے۔

English - Short Commentary Translation

That is because they opposed Allah and His Messenger; and [a]whoso opposes Allah—then, surely, Allah is Severe in retribution.

4:116; 8:14; 47:33.

English - Five Volume Translation

That is because they opposed Allah and His Messenger;[a] and whoso opposes Allah—then surely Allah is Severe in retribution.[4191A]

Commentary:

The verse shows that opposition to a Prophet is tantamount to opposing God Himself.

اردو ترجمہ مودودی

یہ سب کچھ اس لیے ہوا کہ انہوں نے اللہ اور اس کے رسول کا مقابلہ کیا، اور جو بھی اللہ کا مقابلہ کرے اللہ اس کو سزا دینے میں بہت سخت ہے

English - Sahih

That is because they opposed Allah and His Messenger. And whoever opposes Allah - then indeed, Allah is severe in penalty.

اردو ترجمہ احمد علی

یہ ا سلیے کہ انہوں نے الله اوراس کے رسول کی مخالفت کی اور جو الله کی مخالفت کرے تو بے شک الله سخت عذاب دینے والا ہے

English - Talal Itani

That (is) because [they] they opposed Allah and His Messenger. And whoever opposes Allah then indeed, Allah (is) severe (in) penalty.

That is because they made a breach with God and His Messenger; and whosoever makes a breach with God, God is terrible in retribution.

That is because they set themselves against Allah and His Messenger; and whoever sets himself against Allah should know that Allah is surely Most Stern in retribution.

For they had opposed God and His Apostle; and whosoever opposes God, then God is severe in retribution.

That is because they resisted Allah and His Messenger: and if any one resists Allah, verily Allah is severe in Punishment.
