وَقَالُوۡا مَا فِیۡ بُطُوۡنِ ہٰذِہِ الۡاَنۡعٰمِ خَالِصَۃٌ لِّذُکُوۡرِنَا وَمُحَرَّمٌ عَلٰۤی اَزۡوٰجِنَا ۖ وَاِنۡ یَّکُنۡ مَّیۡتَۃً فَہُمۡ فِیۡہِ شُرَکَآءُ ۚ سَیَجۡزِیۡہِمۡ وَصۡفَہُمۡ ۚ اِنَّہٗ حَکِیۡمٌ عَلِیۡمٌ
English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ra
And they say, ‘That which is in the wombs of such and such cattle is exclusively reserved for our males and is forbidden to our wives; but if it be born dead, then they are all partakers thereof. He will reward them for their assertion. Surely, He is Wise, All-Knowing.
اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ
اور وہ کہتے ہیں جو کچھ ان مویشیوں کے پیٹوں میں ہے یہ محض ہمارے مَردوں کے لئے مخصوص ہے اور ہماری بیویوں پر حرام کیا گیا ہے۔ ہاں اگر وہ مُردہ ہو تو اس (سے استفادہ) میں وہ سب شریک ہیں۔ پس وہ انہیں ان کے (اس) بیان کی ضرور سزا دے گا۔ یقیناً وہ بہت ہی حکمت والا (اور) دائمی علم رکھنے والا ہے۔
French
Et ils disent : « Ce qui est dans le ventre de telle ou telle bête est exclusivement réservé à nos mâles et interdit à nos épouses ; mais si la bête est mort-née, alors ils y participent tous. Bientôt, Il les rétribuera pour leur assertion ; assurément, Il est Sage, Omniscient. »

Und sie sagen: "Was im Schoße von diesen Tieren ist, das ist ausschließlich unseren Männern vorbehalten und unseren Frauen verboten; wird es aber tot (geboren), dann haben sie (alle) Anteil daran." Er wird ihnen vergelten für ihre Behauptung. Wahrlich, Er ist allweise, allwissend.

他们说: “凡在那些牲畜子宫里的, 是我们男子所应得的, 而对于我们的妻子是受禁的; 但如果它是死的, 他们都能分享。” 由于他们的断言, 安拉一定惩罚他们。确实, 他是明哲的, 全知的。

Ed essi dicono: «Quello che è nel ventre di questo o quell'altro animale è riservato esclusivamente ai nostri uomini ed è proibito alle nostre mogli; ma se nasce morto, allora tutti ne condividano.» Egli li punirà per le loro asserzioni. Certamente Egli è il Saggio, l'Onnisciente.

Y dicen: “Lo que está en el vientre de éste o aquel ganado está reservado exclusivamente para nuestros varones y está rohibido para nuestras esposas; pero si naciera muerto, entonces todos pueden participar de él. Él les dará su merecido por su afirmación sin fundamento. En verdad, Él es Sabio, Omnisciente.
اردو تفسیرِ صغیر
اور وہ کہتے ہیں کہ جو کچھ ان جانوروں کے پیٹوں میں ہے وہ خالصتہ ہمارے مردوں کے لئے ہے اور ہماری بیویوں پر حرام کیا گیا ہے‘ ہاں اگر وہ مردہ ہو تو وہ (سب) اس شریک ہیں‘ وہ ضرور ان کی بات کی انہیں سزا دے گا۔ یاد رکھو کہ وہ حکمت والا (اور) بہت جاننے والا ہے۔
English - Short Commentary Translation
And they say, ‘That which is in the wombs of such and such cattle is reserved for our males and is forbidden to our wives;[920] but if it be born dead, then they are all partakers thereof. He will reward them for their assertion. Surely, He is Wise, All-Knowing.

And they say, ‘That which is in the wombs of such and such cattle is exclusively reserved for our males and is forbidden to our wives; but if it be born dead, then they are all partakers thereof. He will reward them for their assertion. Surely, He is Wise, All-Knowing.[879]
Commentary:
The verse refers to another absurd custom of the Arabs. The Divine attributes "Wise" and "All-Knowing" have been mentioned here to point out that the people got entangled in these foolish beliefs and practices because they turned away from the Wise and Knowing God and followed false deities and their foolish devotees.
اردو ترجمہ مودودی
اور کہتے ہیں کہ جو کچھ ان جانوروں کے پیٹ میں ہے یہ ہمارے مردوں کے لیے مخصوص ہے اور ہماری عورتوں پر حرام، لیکن اگر وہ مُردہ ہو تو دونوں اس کے کھانے میں شریک ہو سکتے ہیں یہ باتیں جو انہوں نے گھڑ لی ہیں ان کا بدلہ اللہ انہیں دے کر رہے گا یقیناً وہ حکیم ہے اور سب باتوں کی اسے خبر ہے
English - Sahih
And they say, "What is in the bellies of these animals is exclusively for our males and forbidden to our females. But if it is [born] dead, then all of them have shares therein." He will punish them for their description. Indeed, He is Wise and Knowing.

اور کہتے ہیں جو کچھ ان جانوروں کے پیٹ میں ہے یہ ہمارے مردوں کے لیے خاص ہے اور ہماری عورتو ں پر حرام ہے اور جو بچہ مردہ ہو تو دونوں اس کے کھانے میں برابر ہیں الله انہیں ان باتو ں کی سزا دے گا بے شک وہ حکمت والا جاننے والا ہے

And they say, "What (is) in (the) wombs (of) these cattle (is) exclusively for our males and forbidden on our spouses. But if is (born) dead, then they (all) in it (are) partners." He will recompense them (for) their attribution. Indeed, He (is) All-Wise, All-Knowing.

And they say, 'What is within the bellies of these cattle is reserved for our males and forbidden to our spouses; but if it be dead, then they all shall be partners in it.' He will assuredly recompense them for their describing; surely He is All-wise, All-knowing.

And they say: 'What is within the bellies of such-and-such cattle is exclusively for our males and is forbidden to our females; but if it be born dead, they all may share in it.' He will soon requite them for all that they (falsely) attribute to Allah. He is All-Wise, All-Knowing.

And they say: "Whatever is in the wombs of these cattle is only meant for men and forbidden our women; but in case it should be still-born both could eat it." God will punish them for what they assert. He is all-wise and all-knowing.
