61:9

يُرِيدُونَ لِيُطْفِـُٔوا۟ نُورَ ٱللَّهِ بِأَفْوَٰهِهِمْ وَٱللَّهُ مُتِمُّ نُورِهِۦ وَلَوْ كَرِهَ ٱلْكَٰفِرُونَ

English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ^ra

They desire to extinguish the light of Allah with the breath of their mouths, but Allah will perfect His light, even if the disbelievers hate it.

اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ

وہ چاہتے ہیں کہ وہ اپنے منہ کی پھونکوں سے اللہ کے نور کو بجھادیں حالانکہ اللہ ہر حال میں اپنا نور پورا کرنے والا ہے خواہ کافر ناپسند کریں۔

French

Ils désirent éteindre la lumière d’Allāh par le souffle de leurs bouches, mais Allāh rendra parfaite Sa lumière, même si les mécréants le haïssent.

German

Sie möchten Allahs Licht auslöschen mit ihren Mündern, doch Allah wird Sein Licht vollkommen machen, auch wenn die Ungläubigen es hassen.

[c]他们想用自己的口吹熄安拉的光辉,[1421]但无论不信者怎样地不喜欢, 安拉一定是要完成他的光辉的。

Essi vorrebbero spegnere la luce di Allah, con il respiro delle loro bocche, ma Allah farà risplendere pienamente la Sua luce, per quanto i miscredenti possano odiarla.

Desean apagar la luz de Al-lah con el aliento de sus bocas, pero Al-lah perfeccionará Su luz, aunque los incrédulos la odien.

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

وہ چاہتے ہیں کہ اپنے مونہوں سے اللہ کے نور کو بجھا دیں‘ اور اللہ اپنے نور کو پورا کرکے چھوڑے گا خواہ کافر (لوگ) کتنا ہی ناپسند کریں۔

English - Short Commentary Translation

[a]They desire to extinguish the Light of Allah[3039] with the breath of their mouths, but Allah will perfect His light, however much the disbelievers may dislike it.

9:32.

The Holy Prophet has been repeatedly called the "Light of Allah," in the Qur’an (4:175; 5:17; 64:9).

[b]They desire to extinguish the light of Allah with the breath of their mouths, but Allah will perfect His light, however much the disbelievers hate it.[4228]

9:32.

Commentary:

The Holy Prophet has been repeatedly called the "Light of Allah," in the Quran (4:175; 5:17; 64:9). All the efforts of the enemies of Islam to extinguish this divine light has signally failed and Islam has gone on from strength to strength and will one day embrace in its fold the major enlightened part of all mankind.

یہ لوگ اپنے منہ کی پھونکوں سے اللہ کے نور کو بجھانا چاہتے ہیں، اور اللہ کا فیصلہ یہ ہے کہ وہ اپنے نور کو پوا پھیلا کر رہے گا خواہ کافروں کو یہ کتنا ہی ناگوار ہو

English - Sahih

They want to extinguish the light of Allah with their mouths, but Allah will perfect His light, although the disbelievers dislike it.

وہ چاہتے ہیں کہ الله کا نور اپنے مونہوں سے بجھا دیں اور الله اپنا نور پورا کر کے رہے گا اگرچہ کافر برا مانیں

They intend to put out (the) light (of) Allah with their mouths, but Allah will perfect His Light although dislike the disbelievers.

They desire to extinguish with their mouths, the light of God; but God will perfect His light, though the unbelievers be averse.

They seek to extinguish Allah's light (by blowing) with their mouths, but Allah shall spread His light in all its fullness, howsoever the unbelievers may abhor this.

They want to extinguish the light of God by uttering blasphemies. But God wills to perfect His light, however the unbelievers may dislike it.
