65:5

وَٱلَّٰٓـِٔى يَئِسْنَ مِنَ ٱلْمَحِيضِ مِن نِّسَآئِكُمْ إِنِ ٱرْتَبْتُمْ فَعِدَّتُهُنَّ ثَلَٰثَةُ أَشْهُرٍ وَٱلَّٰٓـِٔى لَمْ يَحِضْنَ ۚ وَأُو۟لَٰتُ ٱلْأَحْمَالِ أَجَلُهُنَّ أَن يَضَعْنَ حَمْلَهُنَّ ۚ وَمَن يَتَّقِ ٱللَّهَ يَجْعَل لَّهُۥ مِنْ أَمْرِهِۦ يُسْرًا

English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ^ra

And if you are in doubt as to such of your women as despair of monthly courses, then know that the prescribed period for them is three months, and the same is for such as have not had their monthly courses yet. And as for those who are with child, their period shall be until they are delivered of their burden. And whoso fears Allah, He will provide facilities for him in his affair.

اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ

اور تمہاری عورتوں میں سے جو حیض سے مایوس ہوچکی ہوں اگر تمہیں شک ہو تو ان کی عدت تین مہینے ہے اور اُن کی بھی جو حائضہ نہیں ہوئیں۔ اور جہاں تک حمل والیوں کا تعلق ہے اُن کی عدت وضعِ حمل ہے۔ اور جو اللہ کا تقویٰ اختیار کرے اللہ اپنے حکم سے اس کے لئے آسانی پیدا کردے گا۔

French

Et si vous êtes dans le doute au sujet de celles de vos femmes qui n’espèrent plus de règles, alors sachez que la période prescrite pour elles est de trois mois, et la même chose pour celles qui n’ont pas encore eu leurs règles. Et quant à celles qui sont enceintes, leur période sera jusqu’à ce qu’elles soient délivrées de leur fardeau. Et quiconque craint Allāh, Il lui facilitera ses affaires.

German

Wenn ihr im Zweifel seid (über) jene eurer Frauen, die keine monatliche Reinigung mehr erhoffen, (dann wisset, dass) ihre Frist drei Monate ist, und (das gleiche gilt für) die, die noch keine Reinigung hatten. Und für die Schwangeren soll ihre Frist so lange währen, bis sie sich ihrer Bürde entledigt haben. Und dem, der Allah fürchtet, wird Er Erleichterung verschaffen in seinen Angelegenheiten.

Chinese

如果你们怀疑[1439]关于月经已绝望的你们妇女的 (离婚定期), 那么, (要知道) 她们固定的时期是[a]三个月, 对于尚没有月经的妇女, 也是这样计算。对于孕妇, 她们的限期将是分娩。凡敬畏安拉的人, 他将使他的事务容易。

2:229.

这里补充了一句 “如果你们怀疑”, 这是因为没有月经可能是由于子宫机能失调或其他原因, 不一定是到了绝经期。

Italian

E se siete in dubbio riguardo al periodo prescritto per quelle delle vostre donne che non attendono più il ciclo mensile, allora sappiate che il periodo prescritto per esse è di tre mesi, e anche per quelle che non hanno il loro ciclo mensile. E per quanto riguarda quelle gravide, il loro periodo dovrà durare fino a che non avranno partorito. E a chi teme Allah, Egli concederà facilitazioni nelle sue cose.

Spanish

Mas si tenéis alguna duda respecto a aquellas de vuestras mujeres que desesperan de la menstruación, sabed que l período prescrito para ellas es de tres meses, así como para las que aún no han tenido sus reglas. Mas en cuanto a las que estén embarazadas, su período durará hasta que queden libres de su carga. Y a quien teme a Al-lah, Él le facilitará sus asuntos.

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

اور (تمہاری بیویوں میں سے) وہ (عورتیں) جو حیض سے مایوس ہو چکی ہوں اگر (ان کی عدت کے متعلق) تمہیں شبہ ہو تو ان کی عدت تین مہینے ہے اور اسی طرح ان کی بھی جن کو حیض[1] نہیں آرہا۔ اور جن عورتوں کو حمل ہو ان کی عدت وضع حمل تک ہے اور جو کوئی اللہ کا تقویٰ اختیار کرے اللہ ضرور اس کے معاملہ میں آسانی پیدا کر دیتا ہے۔

یعنی اس وقت حیض رُک چکا ہے یا آیا ہی نہیں‘ جیسا کہ بعض عورتوں کو بیماری ہوتی ہے۔

English - Short Commentary Translation

And if you are in doubt[3067]as to the prescribed period for such of your women as have despaired of monthly courses, then know that the prescribed period for them is [b]three months, and also for such as do not have their monthly courses yet. And as for those who are with child, their period shall be until they are delivered of their burden. And whoso fears Allah, He will provide facilities for him in his affair.

اور تمہاری عورتوں میں سے جو حیض سے مایوس ہو چکی ہوں ان کے معاملہ میں اگر تم لوگوں کو کوئی شک لاحق ہے تو (تمہیں معلوم ہو کہ) ان کی عدت تین مہینے ہے اور یہی حکم اُن کا ہے جنہیں ابھی حیض نہ آیا ہو اور حاملہ عورتوں کی عدت کی حد یہ ہے کہ اُن کا وضع حمل ہو جائے جو شخص اللہ سے ڈرے اُس کے معاملہ میں وہ سہولت پیدا کر دیتا ہے

English - Sahih

And those who no longer expect menstruation among your women - if you doubt, then their period is three months, and [also for] those who have not menstruated. And for those who are pregnant, their term is until they give birth. And whoever fears Allah - He will make for him of his matter ease.

اردو ترجمہ احمد علی

اور تمہاری عورتوں میں سے جن کو حیض کی امید نہیں رہی ہے اگر تمہیں شبہ ہو تو ان کی عدت تین مہینے ہیں اور ان کی بھی جنہیں ابھی حیض نہیں آیا اور حمل والیوں کی عدت ان کے بچہ جننے تک ہے اور جو الله سے ڈرتا ہے وہ اس کے کام آسان کر دیتا ہے

And those who have despaired of the menstruation among your women, if you doubt, then their waiting period (is) three months, and the ones who not [they] menstruated. And those who (are) pregnant, their term until they deliver their burdens. And whoever fears Allah, He will make for him of his affair ease.

English - Arberry

As for your women who have despaired of further menstruating, if you are in doubt, their period shall be three months; and those who have not menstruated as yet. And those who are with child, their term is when they bring forth their burden. Whoso fears God, God will appoint for him, of His command, easiness.

English - Maududi

The waiting period of those of your women who have lost all expectation of menstruation shall be three months in case you entertain any doubt; and the same shall apply to those who have not yet menstruated. As for pregnant women, their waiting period shall be until the delivery of their burden. Allah will create ease for him who fears Allah.

As for your women who have lost hope of menstruation, and in case you have a doubt, the prescribed period (of waiting) for them is three months, as also for those who have not menstruated yet. As for those who are pregnant, their prescribed period is until the delivery of the child. God will make things easy for him who is mindful of God.

Such of your women as have passed the age of monthly courses, for them the prescribed period, if ye have any doubts, is three months, and for those who have no courses (it is the same): for those who carry (life within their wombs), their period is until they deliver their burdens: and for those who fear Allah, He will make their path easy.
