اِنَّ ہٰٓؤُلَآءِ مُتَبَّرٌ مَّا ہُمۡ فِیۡہِ وَبٰطِلٌ مَّا کَانُوۡا یَعۡمَلُوۡنَ

English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ^ra

‘As to these, surely destroyed shall be all that they are engaged in, and vain shall be all that they do.’

اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ

یقیناً یہ لوگ جس حال میں ہیں وہ برباد ہو جانے والا ہے اور باطل ہے وہ عمل جو وہ کرتے ہیں۔

French

En vérité, tout ce que ces hommes sont en train de faire sera anéanti, et leurs actions seront vaines. »

German

Diese hier aber – zertrümmert wird das werden, worin sie sind, und eitel wird all das sein, was sie tun."

“他们所从事的, 必将毁灭, 他们将徒劳无功。”

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

جس کام میں وہ لگے ہوئے ہیں وہ یقیناً تباہ ہونے والا ہے اور جو کچھ وہ کر رہے ہیں سب بے کار جائے گا۔

English - Short Commentary Translation

‘Surely, all that these people are engaged in shall be destroyed, and vain shall be all that they do.’

English - Five Volume Translation

‘As to these, surely destroyed shall be all that they are engaged in, and vain shall be all that they do.’[1029]

Commentary:

The word "these" refers to the idol-worshippers whom the Israelites wished to copy. Moses explains to his men that the people they desired to imitate were a people doomed to perdition.

اردو ترجمہ مودودی

یہ لوگ جس طریقہ کی پیروی کر رہے ہیں وہ تو برباد ہونے والا ہے اور جو عمل وہ کر رہے ہیں وہ سراسر باطل ہے"

English - Sahih

Indeed, those [worshippers] - destroyed is that in which they are [engaged], and worthless is whatever they were doing."

یہ لوگ جس چیز میں لگے ہوئے ہیں وہ تباہ ہونے والی ہے اور جو وہ کر رہے ہیں وہ غلط ہے

Indeed these, destroyed (is) what they (are) in it and vain (is) what they used to do."
