فَلَمَّا عَتَوْا۟ عَن مَّا نُهُوا۟ عَنْهُ قُلْنَا لَهُمْ كُونُوا۟ قِرَدَةً خَٰسِـِٔينَ

English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ^ra

And when they insolently rebelled against that which they had been forbidden, We said to them, ‘Be ye apes, despised!’

اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ

جب پھر بھی انہوں نے اس امر میں نافرمانی کی جس سے ان کو روکا گیا تھا تو ہم نے اُنہیں کہا تم ذلیل بندر بن جاؤ۔

French

Et quand ils se révoltèrent contre ce qui leur avait été interdit, Nous leur dîmes : « Soyez des singes méprisés. »

German

Als sie trotzig bei dem verharrten, was ihnen verboten war, da sprachen Wir zu ihnen: "Werdet denn verächtliche Affen!"

当他们不但不听所受禁的, 而且变本加厉, 我便对他们说: [b]“你们去做卑贱的猴子吧!”

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

پھر جب انہوں نے ان باتوں سے جن سے ان کو روکا گیا تھا باز آنے کی بجائے ان میں اور بھی ترقی کرنی شروع کی تو ہم نے ان کو کہا‘ ذلیل بندر[3] ہو جاؤ۔

بندر ہو جاؤ سے یہ مرادنہیں جیسا کہ مفسرین نے لکھا ہے کہ وہ مسخ ہو کر بندر ہو گئے تھے بلکہ مراد یہ ہے کہ دل ناپاک ہو جائیں اور بندروں والی نقالی کی حرکات کرنے لگ جائیں۔ اس جگہ بندر کے لفظ کی صفت وہی رکھی ہے جو انسان کے لئے استعمال کی جاتی ہے جس سے ثابت ہے کہ یہاں اصلی بندر مرادنہیں بلکہ بندر صفت انسان مراد ہے چنانچہ سورہ مائدہ آیت ۶۱و۶۲ میں لکھا ہے کہ یہ یہودی جو بندر بن گئے تھے رسول کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم اور مومنوں کے پاس بھی آتے تھے۔ حالانکہ سب حدیثیں اور تاریخ بتاتی ہے کہ آپ کے پاس بندر صفت یہودی تو ضرور آتے تھے مگر بندر بنے ہوئے یہودی کبھی نہیں آئے تھے۔

English - Short Commentary Translation

And when they insolently rebelled against that which they had been forbidden, We said to them, [b]‘Be ye apes despised.’[1065]

And when they insolently rebelled against that which they had been forbidden, [a]We said to them, ‘Be ye apes despised!’[1056]

Commentary:

The expression, Be ye apes despised, explains the "severe punishment" mentioned in the previous verse. See also 2:66.

پھر جب وہ پوری سرکشی کے ساتھ وہی کام کیے چلے گئے جس سے انہیں روکا گیا تھا، تو ہم نے کہا کہ بندر ہو جاؤ ذلیل اور خوار

So when they were insolent about that which they had been forbidden, We said to them, "Be apes, despised."

پھر جب وہ اس کام میں حد سے آگے بڑھ گئے جس سے روکے گئے تھے تو ہم نے حکم دیا کہ ذلیل ہونے والے بندر ہو جاؤ
